Musica Academy - Yamaha Music School

For a group lessons to be so costly and not just that but to be a complete waste of money is the new form of scam to take advantages of parents who are made to feel like they are taking the kids to top school in the city.

My daughter and her friend has been attending musica academy since they were six years old. The teachers were all knowledgeable and very great with the kids. My experience with musica is outstanding.

I have been attending Musica Academy for 10 years and it has opened many doors for me. So if you want to learn music, Musica Academy is a good place to learn music.

I was a volunteer at Musica Academy for 2021 and 2022 summer camps. It was a wonderful experience.All the staff are very nice and helpful; they are always ready to help you with a smile and answer all the questions I had.The teachers are very knowledgeable and skilled, and they really enjoyed teaching all of the kids piano, musical theater, and crafts. The kids have also enjoyed themselves a lot in the summer camp!I have learned many things through Musica Academy, such as how to patiently teach children piano and how to help them do small activities. I have also developed better social skills throughout the weeks!I had a lot of fun volunteering in these camps, and I would love return next year! Thank you Musica Academy for giving me the opportunity to help! :)

Both of my kids attend the school for the past few years. Excellent programs and great teachers. Never had any complaints with the service either. Totally recommend it.

Musica Academy is one of the better music schools in Calgary. Although a bit pricey, their teachers ensure that their students get the best possible experience. Their group classes are $25/45 min class, and their private lessons are around $31/30 min class. The school policy is also very flexible, unlike Musicworks Canada.Their education system is the Yamaha method, same as the Sonata School of Music located in the SW. I enjoy learning with my child during their group classes, even though they are meant for them and not me.The staff are always so welcoming when you enter, and the Covid measures that they have put in place are great. Everyone wears a face mask/shield, there are dividers between the pianos, and the receptionists take everyone's temperature before entering.I am saddened to see that the negative reviews that are on this place are by either people who work at another music school (Serene Tan), a Karen (L T), or a throwaway account (based on going through their history of reviews, I also know that Serene does work at Musicworks, as I have been there before). I am leaving my review as someone who has tried many schools, private teachers, and group lessons. I hope this helps anyone in making their decisions.4/5 because of price.
