Evergreen Leadership Academy

We just finished up our 2nd year at Evergreen. Both our son and daughter love attending school here. In the beginning our son had some separation anxiety, it would take a little coaxing to get him comfortable in the morning. The staff were all so supportive and kind. They really make everyone feel like they are a part of large extended family. It's an amazing environment, it has allowed both my children to take risk and try things they wouldn't normally. They have learned so much about growth mindset and take pride in their work and are excited to do presentations in front of their classmates. The class sizes are small, the teachers seem happy and invested in the students and want to see them be successful. They encourage creativity, leadership, and empathy. Meals are cooked on site by Grace. She is like your most loved aunt. Her food is so good and made with organic wholesome ingredients! What more could you ask for in a school. I never feel concerned or worried when I drop them off. I know they are in a safe, and warm environment.

My child attended gr.1 in 2021/2022 at the vaughan location (not in burlington).We were given a first-year (inexperienced) teacher, who took on all subjects and no full-time assistant.The main subjects had no coherent program, no books - we received printouts from free websites. The teaching level in gr. 1 was similar to most jk-sk at a daycare.lack of communication from teachers: the online platform for posting materials and updates was mostly not in use for weeks and even months at a time.classes for main subjects run 4 days a week only, from monday to thursday. On fridays the students had STEAM projects"

Evergreen Leadership Academy is a unique school for JK-G8 that combines a nurturing environment with a balanced approach to children’s development. This means focus on strong academics balanced with learning soft skills (e.g. they learn how to research, present, communicate) and emotional intelligence as well as mental well-being (e.g. growth mindset, learning how to provide feedback, practice gratitude, set goals, etc). One of the things we appreciate the most is that our children are being seen and treated by their teachers as unique individuals with their own strengths, learning styles, interests, personalities, etc and teachers really try to incorporate these into their teaching. As a result, we never had to make our kids go to school. It’s a place where they want to be, where they feel motivated, mentally stimulated and happy. The school has a warm, family-like ambiance with enthusiastic teachers where game-based hands-on learning is incorporated into traditional learning methods (e.g. science-based games, quests, gardening, drama, etc). The school is also very open to parents’ feedback and always tries to evolve and improve. E.g. they have made some important changes, which have resulted in stepped up academics. It’s a great environment for children who can benefit from individualized approach, small classes and balanced development at elementary school level.

Amazing, being part of the school has changed my 2 kids lives. The approach to learning is friendly and curiosity based, they learn relevant skills such as teamwork and public speaking. Bonus for me is that they eat fresh homemade food and I don't have to pack snacks or lunches, total win win.

Our daughter is finishing up her second year at Evergreen and she's very happy. She actually loves being in school and never comes home tired. They pay very personalized attention to the children, the teacher student ratio is very low, and the meals they get are cooked right there, in their own kitchen. Everyone there is amazing, and they make learning fun!

This is the best private school I’ve ever seen! All others focus primarily on academics and tons of homework. This school focuses on teaching kids solve interesting problems & growth mindset - and based on that kids thrive academically. It’s also a very friendly environment with absolutely amazing teachers!

We are so happy to have found Evergreen Leadership Academy! Our daughter started there last year and loved it. She's so happy to be continuing her education there this year. Our son also started this year and comes home happy.Evergreen is innovative school with a different approach to education. The environment will definitely help learners with real life skills for future success.

My 4 year old daughter has had an amazing experience at Evergreen.Although I'm the owner of the school and somewhat biased, the review is objective and genuine.She is in a very spacious classroom with caring staff and peers. Her language and numeracy skills are developing in line with her enthusiasm for learning and her excitement to engage in creative play. She is also learning French and Russian (optional). Music is taught twice a week. She goes to Skyzone regularly (weekly visits on Tuesday and Friday). The food is made in house by Grace, a wonderful loving and caring mother of three. Food allergies and restrictions are easily handled by the school.She's gone to the Ontario Science Centre around 10 times this year with the school. Trips are a regular part of the programming. She grows plants, loves art, takes cooking classes, loves ninja warrior obstacles, and has formed strong bonds with her classmates.The experience so far has been exceptional, and it's only the first year of the school's operation.

My boys have been attending Evergreen Leadership Academy for two years now and these have been really amazing years. Both boys love their school and are actually sad during breaks, that they cannot go to school, which says a lot! The school takes very personalized approach to education. The stuff works closely with parents and children to create a perfect program and goals for each student. It is also very helpful that the school has a fully equipped kitchen and an amazing cook, that makes delicious and nutritious food every day. Our family is very grateful to everyone at Evergreen Leadership Academy for creating such a wonderful school! Thank you! Truly the best place for us!
