Went shopping for a new mattress yesterday and was able to find one with the help of Markus. He truly seemed like he wanted to help us find the best mattress for our sleep and was very friendly and well informed. After buying our mattress, we realized Costco was selling the same mattress at a lower price. We ended up going back to the store and Markus helped us get the OK to price match the Costco price. The great thing about this is, at Sleepy Country, you actually get to try out the bed. In Costco, you don't. If a return due to warranty is necessary, Sleep Country will come and pick up the mattress, whereas with Costco, you would need to bring it back yourself.Im very happy with the purchase and would recommend Sleep Country to other consumers as well as to let them know to do their research as I didn't expect Sleep Country to price match (assuming the product is the same).

Extremely horrible customer service. Brought a mattress and dealt with a guy named Rifaz" who was extremely pushy on adding a pillow for my mattress. The pillow I tried in the store felt good and was told there was a 100 nights guarantee and not once was I told its not the same for the pillow. When the pillow arrived

Rifaz and Sulki both helped me for pillows that I needed at sleep country. Got the one's that I needed for a perfect night's sleep. Highly recommended services!

Markus was beyond amazing at this location! Knew the products and ranges very well. Helped me a lot with budgeting and pricing. Went out of his way to fit the right mattresses for me.

Horrible experience at sleep country heartland. My fiancé and I just got our first home. We needed to buy a new mattress and bed for our new place. Marcus was helping us when we walked in up until an older couple walked in after us. My fiancé and I are a young couple (in our late 20’s) at first Marcus was bouncing back from the older couple and us to help us find a mattress we liked. Which was fine with us. It wasn’t until we were trying a mattress right next to the older couple, when they asked Marcus about the adjustable frames. Which my fiancé and I were always interested in. Marcus then looked at us and said “not for you guys. You can’t afford it.” When we first came into the store we told Marcus our budget was under $2600 for a mattress(we also said we were looking to get a bed and never said we were only looking to spend $2600 in total) we found this extremely disrespectful, embarrassing and degrading. Marcus then went off with the older couple to look at other options. We waited over 15 minutes for Marcus to come back but he never did. My fiancé and I decided to leave. It wasn’t until we were almost out the door, that Marcus asked if we had any questions and offered to hand us his card. We walked out without taking his card. Marcus ruined our excitement for purchasing our first bed for our new home.We then went to the brick, where we were treated 100% better and ended up spending over $5,000 on a new bed, mattress, and more furniture.I’ll make sure to never step foot in another sleep country again and encourage my friends and family to do the same.

Update:The guys from hq quickly resolved my issue after I emailed them. Super helpful. Still taking away one star because things had to be escalated for such a simple thing.So they signed me up with flexiti for financing then I changed my mind about buying and went back and told them to refund my purchase (never took delivery). Went in to check my flexiti card online statement today to find out the charge was never reversed and I am past due in my payments! On top of that now I have to pay interest and admin fee to flexiti for something I never bought. I am super disappointed.

Update:The fascinating part is that after my initial review below, which I posted a week ago, I received an automated email asking for a followup and requesting me to contact the customer service at a certain email. I did exactly that, just to be told by customer service they don’t have access to reviews & asked me to send my review to them! I did just that and am still waiting for a followup.This just goes to show the company’s commitment to customer service let alone that of their stores. So very unfortunate.ORIGINAL Review:Most disappointing experience at Sleep Country’s Heartland and Erin Mills locations.Heartland store: had an initial satisfactory experience dealing with Marcus. Purchased a floor model mattress (lesser price) and a new platform, with delivery after a week. On day of delivery, after 3 notifications of confirmation and 2 calls with warehouse, I was told the products are not available for delivery because the store had not sent them in a week.I went to the store to speak inperson as had one call earlier and then no update. Marcus at first said he was busy but the client infront of him left so he became free. He was surprised to see me and asked why I had shown up there. I shared the information I had received from the warehouse but he said he was not aware of the whereabouts of the mattress. That was a blatant misrepresentation. I urged him to go and check and then he said yes the mattress was still in the store.I was offered an apology and additional discounts to which I clearly refused and indicated it’s a matter of principle. I wanted a full refund. I will not do business with a store that consistently misrepresents and instead of owning their mistake, blatantly lies. I got my refund and left.As for their claim to best pricing - totally wrong. After this experience I went to another store and got the exact same products (not floor model this time but brand new) for $400 less and delivery in 1 day.Prior to above experience at the Heartland store, I went to the Erin Mills store. The salesperson was only interested in immediate sale. I suggested researching first, which dissipated his interest even in a conversation.Basic principle is decency and honesty - do not lie. Do not try to grab business on the basis of dishonesty. If you had owned up your mistake from the get go, i would have understood. Don’t take your clients for fools.

We bought a mattress from Taj two years ago and he was great. Low pressure style and he provided us with all the time and information needed to pick out the perfect option. We went back today for more pillows and mattresses for the kids! Look for Taj!
