Transitions - Moving & Downsizing

I have used Transitions multiple times over the past 1.5 years as my husband and I were relocating to another city and downsizing our house. We are both busy working professionals and when we started this process I was actually living in another city. Marguerite has been phenomenal! Each time she came to take away our items the process was smooth and seamless. However it was more than that, she worked with us to ensure the items we were getting rid of went to the best possible places for donation. She was engaged in our process of culling, finding the right places for our stuff and helping us through a hectic and busy time in our lives. The culmination of this happened as we ended up pushing up our leave date by 1 day. She graciously accommodated our last minute request, despite the fact Winnipeg was getting a huge snowstorm. It was completely inconvenient but she facilitated us being able to leave one day early. It was pandemonium trying to get all the last minute things taken care of as we prepared to leave the city. Marguerite and Michelle came in and methodically planned and executed the process of getting rid of our stuff. The empathy, drive and ability to get things done truly stands out in this world of mediocre service.

They handled the difficult and challenging cleaning out of our house quickly and professionally. They cleared out our house, keeping what we wanted and moving it to storage. They sold and disposed of what we didn't want to keep.

Don't bother checking any other place out and book TODAY! With all the stress of moving my parents from their home of 42 years to a new place was overwhelming to say the least. The transitions team was professional, courteous and put my mind at ease knowing that everything would be taken care of. I live out of town and I wasn't able to support as much as I wanted to but they went above and beyond their call of duty. Our experience with Transitions was excellent. We had an extremely large project of a family home that was occupied for close to 50 years. The entire process was seamless and the very detailed communication was exactly what we needed. I would recommend Marguerite and her team as they provided exceptional service to our family.

Marguerite and her team were extremely helpful when my mother was moving from her home of 44 years in 2018 and my wife and I needed to sell/donate/move many items and put the remaining items in storage. Marguerite cheerfully and efficiently helped us pack valuables and keepsakes, organized items for distribution to various parties, organized delivery of the items to these parties, brought all remaining items to a storage locker, and liaised with the handyman who was helping us prepare the house for sale. Following my mother's death two years later, Marguerite provided invaluable assistance when I needed to distribute the estate items. The situation was challenging, especially since we were in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, but Marguerite again provided outstanding service. She helped photograph and upload the estate items to an online estate-distribution app and later packed and distributed everything.  Marguerite was a tremendous help to me on both occasions and I strongly recommend her to anyone needing help with any task related to a move.
