If I could give 6 stars, I would! The staff at this clinic make each dental experience a pleasure! The atmosphere in the clinic is superbly upbeat and the staff are all friendly, knowledgable and professional. Each treatment is thoughtfully planned out and options are communicated in a clear and conversational manner. It is clear this clinic strives for excellence. I highly recommend Kootenay Lake Dental.

Wonderful people who do the work. Dentists assistants. Great people. Unfortunately I cant say the same about the two women who work the front desk I have never met more rude and judgemental people in this type of industry. The interrogation I received for not being able to make an appointment was beyond unexceptional.when you cancell an appointment you are required to give 24 hours notice not 48 hours with a written report. Not to mention being told you dont have benefits when you know you do is a very stressful situation to go through every time you go to the dentist. Very very rude.

I haven’t gone to a dentist since my former one moved away, add 2 years in the pandemic, a toothache for 2 months on and off, I knew it was time to seek help. Since being on medication that could cause a problem for me, I kept putting off the inevitable. Plus I am somewhat of a coward as I need freezing to be able to handle any dental work.Alas, I started some research on dental offices, reading many reviews. One in particular caught my eye, I felt very similar to her review in my previous dental years.I phoned last week and talked to Rauni, , sharing my tale of woe. She was SO kind to me and I immediately felt I made a good choice. An appointment was set up for the initial consultation. Tanya phoned to confirm my appointment and was so kind as well, telling me I would be well looked after. This morning was my appointment and I met Lisa, who was incredibly kind, warm, understanding, listened to my history, compassionate and a whole list of wonderful words I could add, too.Dr. Kelly Kosheiff came in, greeted me SO kindly, and listened to my qualms and addressed them all that made me feel like I was absolutely in the right hands and at the right place.I need more dental work and I am sure I will be walking with my head held higher when I go again! Such incredible kindness, warmth, and understanding! Thank you!!!

really fun and welcoming dental assistants, and lovely dentists. We had a billing issue and miscommunication and they were quick to fix the problem! I appreciate that the owner shows terrific integrity. Thanks for easing concerns and working with my family to meet our needs.

I am updating my review: We were contacted by one of the surgeons and discovered that we were misinformed by the receptionist, our son did not have a root canal performed, but a similar procedure that was necessary. While we still believe we should have been informed about all the extra work that was performed while we were still in the hospital as finding out by getting the bill was rude, we are not as upset about the experience. I have upped the review to 3 stars from 1.

Kuddos to the whole staff and to DR Kelly. I was having an emergency being in pain all weekend. They made room for me and as i wished extracted my molar. It was efficient and didn't experience any pain even if the procedure was more complicated then expected do to with the nerves on my tooth. Thankful and very impressed!

This team is amazing!! They got my daughter in on very short notice and fixed her chip tooth within an hour. Now I know this does not happen often and I should be lucky they got us in so quick but under the circumstances they were brilliant and very fun, sweet and kind. we are absolutely switching dentists! Thanks so much team!!

Let me preface this with the fact that I am full-on PETRIFIED of dentists. I only go if I have absolutely no option. I am 36 and a big baby about this stuff, after a very traumatic dental treatment as a kid. That said, I have to say that I’ve never had a bad experience here. When I go for cleanings, one of the hygienists gives a neck massage to help reduce the anxiety, they give me Advil ahead of time and a warm fuzzy blanket. If it’s a filling or more involved procedure, I can request anti anxiety meds and it really, really helps!Yesterday I had my lower wisdoms out, and as always they gave me my requested meds to help settle my anxiety, the fluffy blanket and the really kind assistant—yesterday it was Wendy, who is smiley and welcoming. Dr. Young did the extraction and he immediately took me seriously when I explained that some of the reason I’m so afraid of dentists is that they often don’t listen when I say I’m still in pain. He did, and when I could STILL feel twinges he immediately stopped and added more freezing, and I can’t express how grateful I am for that.It wasn’t an easy appointment, but it wasn’t bad enough for me to delay coming back in for the top extraction, and I’m grateful!Today I’m sore, but it feels like they’re healing okay.So thanks guys. I know not many people look forward to seeing you, and I can’t say I do, but you’re the best dental clinic I’ve ever been to!

I would highly recommend Kootenay Lake Dental. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Koshieff for over 6 years. Before moving to Nelson we would drive from Trail to go to his dental clinic. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and make every visit a pleasant experience. My son recently had to have a small cavity filled. Dr. Koshieff took extra care and time to make him feel at ease, so did his assistant. I do not believe my son would feel comfortable with any other dentist. I have total confidence recommending Dr. Koshieff and his clinic for any family.
