Cilantro and Jalapeno

This used to be one of our favorite spot in the quay.But yesterday, we had the WORST experience, both me and my husband.I ordered first, got the chicken chimichangga.My husband then ordered BEEF chimichangga and taquitos.I waited for quite a long time and my order did not came out.Meanwhile my hub got his taquittos after few minutes. Then his chimichangga. He followed up my order and they said its coming. After another 10-15minutes still nothing so I asked again. The two ladies and the guy asked each other about my order looking confuse. They spoke in their language so I don't know what they were saying. I just stood there waiting for any update or maybe a small apology. But nothing, they asked me again what was my order. Then that was the only time they started making it. At this point, I've been waiting for more than 30minutes already and asked the guy if my order was given by somebody else, he only shrug his shoulder and said probably. No apology or anything.When I finally got the order, the chimingga was a bit soggy, same as my husbands. (Which by the way he was given a chicken and not beef) but we didn't bother to say anything.This was the worst part. Half way while my husband was eating his chimichangga, he found a toothpick inside with the shredded chicken. Good thing he caught it before it pierced his mouth.He spoke to the servers, the lady in red hid at the back (she was the cook) and left the guy to explain.They only said its a mistake and they can't do anything about it.Again, NO APOLOGY .It was only when my husband told them that maybe an apology can somehow make the situation better, then the guy said sorry.The prices went up, the serving became smaller, the quality of the food is poor. The service was the worst.Never coming back to this place anymore.

The food is always very fresh and tasty, the guac especially is delicious and they have a great variety of imported snacks and drinks if you feel like trying something new!

I ordered a $18 fish taco , presentation looked like they just slapped everything in the to go container and ONLY GOT 1 tortilla chip inside. Along with another 2 trays the rest got only 3 tortilla chips inside and rice was barley there . Most likey not going there again to spend $50 when there barley anything inside including veggies.

Sadly, my taco salad shell tasted stale even though I was ensured it was fresh daily.Secondly, I found 3 ice cubes amongst the lettuce, making the shell and its ingredients soggy and watered down. To remedy the issue, the cook offered guacamole or extra lettuce.Overall, I'm not too impressed with my experience.

A hidden gem right in the heart of the quay!Delicious food with huge portions and for a decent price too. I also love their retail section where they sell fresh tortillas, and dips all made in house. They also have imported hot sauces as well as mexican vanilla! Don't sleep on this place!!! You will not be disappointed.

Portion size was hugeee. I almost couldn’t finish it, coming from someone that can eat a lot lol!! The taste was good but no wow factor.

Best tortilla chips and Mexican food that I've ever had in Vancouver. 10/10 recommend.
