The Plaid Place

Never got in the door, its always closed, for a tourist area its closed on sunday, booo. Come to nova scotia 3 times and still have not gotten in the door. Hours are not on web page or in window of store. Giant let down YET all the products inside look great.

Excellent service, the girl went out of her way to find what we were looking for.

I ordered an adorable NS Tartan collar for our family dog. It arrived quickly and was exactly what we were looking for. It fit him beautifully and he looks so handsome

The Plaid Place has been my favourite store for years. There is such a huge selection of celtic products to choose from. The owner and staff are great to deal and very knowledgeable. I've rented kilt garb from them in the past and even ordered my own! Can't recommend them enough.

I've been meaning to write a review for this place for awhile now. I visited this store with my friend back in November she was looking for a tartan for her grandmother for Christmas. if my memory serves right one lady had short brown hair and glasses and the other lady had blondeish hair to her shoulders. When we arrived into the store right off the bat both women working there were extremely rude neither had acknowledged us comimg in. My friend had asked if they had any fraser tartans and explained she was looking for her grandmother and wasn't sure exactly what we needed. the lady snarled at her and said yeah obviously" my friend then had asked if she could come help her the lady showed her several designs so my friend said I'll have to ask. She picked up the phone to call her grandmother the lady helping literally shoved the pattern back onto the shelf and said I come down here to help you and you get on the phone and walked back to the counter. I then stepped in and said she said she was calling to find out what she needs. I then decided to leave the store because I would never tolerate anyone talking to me or any of my friends like that. When my friend came out of the store she said "don't you think they were being extremely rude" we were both puzzled by the poor service and went elsewhere to spend our money."

There's a nice selection of artifacts of the Celtic contribution to our Nova Scotia cultural heritage. I found the staff helpful and pleasant.

Interesting store. Lots of variety of all things plaid from local tartans to imports from UK and Ireland.

I bought three kilts and I'm planning on wearing them everyday, they are very friendly and helpful and I'll be going back for all the things I need

I ordered a Lambswool NS Tartan scarf for my daughter for Christmas. It took it's time getting through two postal systems and Customs, but the waitt was worth it.If I ever get back home I am going to have to shop in person.

Amazing shop!!!!Always get something when ever I got in be it a flat cap or kilt accesories.For first time kilt wearers I highly recommend getting your first kilt from Lisa and co.
