Home Away From Home Doggie Daycare

David offers a fantastic dog daycare service for us allows our Lab Retriever to enjoy socialization in a safe home environment. We highly recommend his services.

An amazing experience, we brought our 3 month old puppy here, and he had a blast! By the time we came to pick him up from our short visit to blue mountain, he was fed, and tired and ready to go home. He definitely had fun and was cared for really well. I definitely recommend leaving your dog here if your going to blue mountain for a visit!

My boys first time boarding so I was nervous about leaving him for a week. He came home happy and tired. Dave is fantastic and it truly is a Home Away from Home.

David is very friendly and a real dog lover. He did the best for my dog who is afraid of other dogs. The Daycare is very clean and it is a short drive from Blue mountain Village, Scandinavia Spa, and downtown Collingwood. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to be sure that his/her furry baby is in good hands and safe environment. Thanks David!

AVOID AT ALL COST, or proceed at your own risk.Our family was coming up to Collingwood for 6 nights (Feb.16-22,2019) and we decided to also bring our 10 month old GSD puppy and have him stay at Home Away From Home Doggie Daycare.Dave was very strict about the drop-off and pick up times, which actually works with my punctuality. Although, he said we couldn’t visit him during the stay he ultimately agreed on only one visit. We picked up and saw our puppy on Tuesday Feb. 19 and everything seemed fine. Although were not allowed to see him I did call David daily to check up on our pup and David assured us that everything was fine.When we went to pick him up on Friday Feb 22nd, 2019, we were greeted by two other dogs at the door. Few minutes later our puppy came down and quickly we put his leash on him to take him away. On our way back home we made a stop at a dog park but realized or puppy is not interested in getting out of the car. We took him down and noticed he was walking with a big limp. He also had a bad case diarrhea. I contacted David who said the dog is pooped since he was out playing with other dogs last few days, and that he had given him some vegetable soup (I don't know why) that caused his the diarrhea.Today, after a week of struggle our puppy is finally walking again and his digestion is back to normal. I don’t know what happened to our puppy while at his care and why the dogs weren’t supervised while all were outside together. Or maybe he knows what happened to our little guy but doesn’t want us to know. Also, its beyond me why he was given anything other than food and snacks that were provided for him.We will never use his services and I do not recommend their services to anyone. AVOID AT ALL COST, or proceed at your own risk.

Our Husky puppy was very afraid of large dogs. She has been staying several days per week with Dave now and her behaviour has completely changed. She loves to play with other dogs and she is probably even friendlier towards humans as well, particularly small kids ... She is always exhausted when we pick her up.

I was never able to use there service due to the fact on how rude the guy was when I called to inquire... I called to get prices and times there open and all I got was I'm busy call back then hung up wouldn't let me leave a number or anything just call back I called back and same thing call back then click... Very unprofessional and rude..

Dave was amazing! As a new dog owner I was nervous and very unsure about leaving my dog with someone else. Dave treats all the dogs like they are his own. The dogs have so much room to run and play and he brings them into his home where they can play or just sleep. He has both heated and air conditioned spaces for the dogs. The outside area is like a spa for dogs with a pool and green space. He handles the dogs well and I would bring Dexter back there in a second. I have already referred his service to a friend who has 2 large dogs and they were extremely pleased as well. I highly recommend Doggie Day Care!.

Hands down best experience for my Dog who is a 14 year old husky who suffers from seperation anxiety and does not do well kenneled during the night. David operates out of a beautiful home that backs onto the Pretty River in Nottawa Ontario. David is conveniently located on Highway 124 for anyone coming from out of town to visit Collingwood or the surrounding area and is looking for different experience for their dog(s).David has a beautiful back yard that the dogs can play in and walks them on the trails behind his home along trails beside the small river.David is a dog savant, he really is good with the dogs and will even take on a role to help socialize and correct behaviors as well. He is so good to my dog Kodi, extremely flexible to drop offs and pick ups times, he can be called on in a moment's notice and understands if something comes up and plans change or you need to extend.I honestly can't thank David enough for giving Kodi a loving home while I am away for work or fun and cannot bring him along :)Thanks David,Sean

Great place for your dogs to stay while you are away. Dave treats them like they are his own and is priced reasonably. Our guys always come back exhausted and happy.
