Celebrated my Birthday and must say it was one of the special ones. Whole credit goes to our server Michael who was phenomenal and made sure we were well taken care of! We sat on the rooftop and the Ambience was mesmerizing. We had Mushroom Rigatoni and the whole platter with Malbec which was topped off with Butter Cake Dessert. The food was just divine and so fulfilling. Definitely Recommended!

This was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was so beautiful and the staff were all so friendly and had amazing suggestions on what dishes to order. The oysters were shucked very well and were super fresh. By far the best part of the meal was the table side beef tartare made by our amazing waitress, Sydney. The wine pairings recommended by the sommelier were spectacular and definitely added an amazing element to the meal.

We had a great time here for our anniversary. The ambiance is so nice and the perfect place to go for a special occasion or when you want to do something a little fancy. Delicious food and really amazing service. Also definitely get the bread as an appetizer! Super soft and delicious and a huge portion! I had the steelhead and creamed potatoes which were both delicious.Of course it’s a bit pricey but that’s only to be expected in this style of restaurant so I would say it’s worth it.

Came here with my partner for his birthday. I ordered a prime rib dinner and enjoyed it very much, it was a generous portion and delicious!The service was fantastic, he ordered a ribeye steak blue rare but received a medium rare. Black+Blue staff very promptly took it away and gave him a new one perfectly done as blue rare. He also received a small complimentary dessert for his birthday, some sort of warm baked cake with caramel.

We just took our son for his birthday because he wanted to try a new steakhouse. The service was top notch and the staff were very welcoming. The one main thing I appreciate in a restaurant is that my glass is never empty and between our server and the managers around, they did not disappoint. The food was good, big portions, great presentation. Best part of this experience was our server Eli who was absolutely fantastic. He may truly be one of the best I have ever encountered. To top it all off they brought our son an incredible desert for his birthday.Ps the brussel sprouts are an absolute must have.

This is one of the premiere modern steakhouses in Vancouver and it’s almost always busy. Make sure you get a reservation otherwise you’ll likely be turned away at the door.If you’re looking for parking, there’s street parking which can be pricey, the parkade next door is (as of this writing) $14 for the night versus $8/hour on the street.Food wise, they have a ton of steak selection, I usually go with the trusty prime rib, which is 16 oz of meat, comes with sides, and it’s absolutely delicious. Would suggest a rare as the medium rare is a bit more medium rare plus. Also, if you can’t finish, it tastes great the next day.Their sides are delicious too, would suggest the scallops, and adding the Mac and cheese sticks.The service here is also fantastic, very attentive, friendly, and personable. Will definitely come back for other celebrations and milestones.

I made a reservation in advance and ate at the roof top. We went to this restaurant for my mom's birthday and it was a very satisfying experience. The food was of course great and the waiter's service was top notch! A small dessert cake for my mother was served and my mother loved it. I will of course revisit this start!

Went here for our anniversary during Dine Out Vancouver and you can't beat the deal! We upgraded to the Wagyu meal with Truffled potatoes, and it was a mind blowing experience! Would definitely recommend. They also gave us a free anniversary dessert gift! Very caring, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

I came here for dinner with my family but left with great disappointment and unease! Although the steakhouse had an impressive luxe decor, the quality of the food didn’t live up to the fine-dining standard, at all.Starters: I ordered 1) the oysters - pretty fresh and nice; 2) the scallops - fresh as well but lacked seasoning so the dish seemed overpriced for me; 3) the caesar salad was made upon order in the cart by the serving waiter, but he lacked a sense of judgement on the sauces, so the salad turned out to be very, very plain. I had to add a lot of pepper myself, which, was unacceptable for a fine-dining steakhouse.Main (This is the part where I was most disappointed and frustrated about): I ordered the Canadian prime beef tenderloin. It was VERY DRY AND TOUGH! I had never encountered such poorly cooked prime beef tenderloin in a fine-dining restaurant. A month ago I visited Bangkok’s The Standard Grill and they cooked way better than this - at a cheaper price - and finer quality too. I called the manager to express my disappointment, he was apologetic and understanding. Few minutes later, I told my serving waiter what I thought about the beef. To my surprise, my waiter tried to question my reasoning subtly. He asked me questions like: “Have you had any Canadian prime beef before?” and “Do you know how does a Canadian beef taste like?”. I told him I haven’t had any Canadian beef previously but I have had many tenderloins in my life and they shouldn’t taste like a dry beef jerky, like the one I had here in this dish. Then he gave me a query look and told me this is how a Canadian prime beef is like. He tried to sound polite but judgemental. HE WAS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL.I was pissed but I didn’t want to make a scene, especially in front of my family. So I didn’t even bother ordering anything else and paid the bill immediately. So here goes my review, expressing how disappointed I am with this so-called “lux steakhouse” and I would strongly discourage you from visiting to encounter any bad experiences like I did.
