The Kebab Bistro

First time here. Food was on point especially the Kabuli rice and lamb shank dish. Super flavorful, moist and yummy. Would definitely recommend. Simple yet flavorful.

Great place and quality food, prices are also decent and not too crazy (as some other places are). Portions were good!

A hidden gem for afghan cuisine. Been to all the big afghan cuisine chains and I gotta say this one is as delicious if not more. The guy at the desk is very polite and always smiling.Definitely coming back again. Must try if you are in the area and looking for good afghan food..

Came here last year late at night. Discovered it since it was the only option open around. Was hungry so really enjoyed the food.Came back again this year. Food quality was still on point. So was the ambience and service. We ordered 3 platters kb1, kb2 and kb6. Each platters Came with rice salad and freshly baked naan and 2 types of sauces. Was more than sufficient for out family of 5. So good value for money. Total spent around $60. We're so full so couldn't finish the naan. The owner sweetly gave us a paper bag to pack the remaining bread. So, no wastageClean and nice ambience. Attendant was very courteous and professionalService was pretty efficient. Food came within 10min.We came here on Sunday around 5ish for Father's day. There was only one other couple.

The food is delicious! We’ve been to every afghan restaurant in the area. I was a little hesitant to try this place because it as empty inside but we drove some distance. We ordered the kofta kabab and the lamb shank. Both were so good, juicy, piping hot and fresh. The bread was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Delicious, fast service. They brought the food to our table. They have great lunch specials. Would recommend!

We ordered for a birthday party, 2 family platters and everyone loved it! The kebabs were all marinated and cooked to perfection, the rice and sauces were amazing and the falafels were delicious as well. This has to be the best kebab meals we’ve had in Mississauga! Definitely recommend you try them and I didn’t even mention how friendly and helpful they were during me trying to order for 15. Must try!

Average to below average at best. A couple of things put me off:1. The bread, which is key to judge an afghani place, is below average. Feels like they don’t even bake on site (felt like it was warmed up in the microwave). Also the owner / server never brought it out with the meal and assumed I would never request for it. They only provided it when I asked and that too after like a 5 minute wait! Unacceptable!2. They have a $11 lunch special vs paying $12.99 for a standard chicken platter. I realized this after I paid and the owner told me the size of the lunch special is “smaller”. Ok so what makes it a “special”?? Am I missing something!?3. The thing that put me off the most was that there was a freaking hair under the bottom of my rice. The hair was soaked in oil so it definitely did not fall off my head LOL (picture attached as proof)Bottom-line: with so many Afghan eateries in Mississauga, why bother with this one!?!?

I randomly came here with my husband. We were supposed to get a very late breakfast in the same plaza but I saw the sign for Kebab Bistro and my mind instantly changed. We came in and there were a few people eating inside the very cozy restaurant. The young gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant to deal with.I chose the KB-1 KEBAB BISTRO SPECIAL which includes 1 Tandoori chicken kebab, 1 classic chicken kebab and 1 ground veal shish kebab. I’ll be honest, I just looked at the photo and saw FOOD and didn’t necessarily see the amount of food and I ordered it lol when it came out, the food smelled absolutely amazing. I started off with my veal kebab and it took me about 15 mins to eat that with generous amount of rice and salad on the side. When I got to my classic chicken kebab nearly 20 mins later, it will still steaming hot!! You can tell that everything is prepared fresh and made to order. The meat is seasoned extremely well and cooked to perfection. I got the rice with the raisins and the carrots and that combined with the meat, the salad, the garlic sauce and the bread is just the best combination ever!! The owner came out front and asked us how our meals were and we appreciated that and gave him our praise.My husband and I drove all the way from Rexdale and I don’t regret it. I can see us coming here at least once a month to enjoy the food here. Kudos to the chef!!

Tried this place with my friends once and I had to come back with my family the next day just because the food was excellent. Way better than your typical famous afghan restaurants around. The rice was made perfect to my taste and meat was premium and quite tender. The mantu was completely tasteless honestly but the ashak is to die for. It was so good. Other than that the best Lamb shank and Lamb chops I have had. The restaurant was very cold tho. It is like they turned of the heat and that too in winter. We had to complain a few times until finally they turned it back on and it started to feel better. Other than that this definitely on my repeat list anytime I feel like eating afghan food. The service was great but the server might wanna tie her hair as some guests may not like their server fixing her hair and preparing their food tray at the same time.
