Ultima Hearing Centre

In May 2019 I purchased a pair of Hearing Aids from Ultima Hearing Centre at 5995b 14th Avenue, Unit A2B, Markham, ON, L3S 0A2.  I had previously bought a pair of Hearing Aids from another company five years prior and was not very satisfied with their service.My experience from the on set has been a very satisfying one.  The staff are knowledgeable and competent.  I was first impressed with the Audiologist (Ms. J. Tang) who was very thorough in the way she conducted herself and did my hearing test. She also showed me the various Hearing Aids that were available with the prices.  I was also made to wear a sample Hearing Aid and walk around in the area, where there was noise, to feel the experience.  When I purchased my Hearing Aid with an electrical charger, I also received a Set Mini Pocket Charger which is to increase or decrease the volume in the Hearing Aid.  Unfortunately after three month the Set Mini Pocket charger was not working, I contacted Ultima Hearing Centre and was attended to by a Hearing Instrument Specialist (Ms. S. Akbari) who contacted the Head Office since she was unable to determine the problem.  Unfortunately, the head office was closed for the holidays, so Ms. Akbari gave me a new Set Mini Pocket charger.  Once again, after three months, I experienced the same problem with my new Set Mini Pocket charger, but due to the Covid Virus the Hearing Centre Head Office was closed.  I was very upset and disappointed.  In June, I received an email from Ultima Hearing Centre Head Office and explained my concerns.  They immediately set up an appointment with a Hearing Instrument Specialist (Mr. John Wong) who was a blessing in disguise.  He solved my problem and I have never enjoyed my Hearing Aid as much as I do now.  Not only did he correct the problem but went the extra mile to explain to me in detail of how to use and enjoy wearing my Hearing Aid.

Update Feb 11/23:I wanted to amend my previous review to discuss the efforts made by Ultima after recognizing my negative experience at my last visit. They immediately reached out to me to reschedule my appointment and also offered me compensation for their services. The audiologist who saw me and my partner was very knowledgable and walked through every step of the procedure with us to make sure that we understood and were comfortable with everything, big or small. Overall, I felt cared for and would definitely recommend this place to family and friends and chalk up my first visit as a learning experience with their booking schedule and don't see any reason it would happen again.Original review:My partner and I booked an appointment on the same day together (complimentary test for him, ear cleaning for me). My partner received a call saying they could not do his test that day, but only I only got an email saying the admin would confirm my appointment the next day. A bit odd, but I thought they had too many patients to do complimentary services that day so that was fair. Didn't hear anything else to the day of my appointment, so I thought I was still good. In hindsight, I should have checked before I came as I'm now at the clinic and it's just closed even though Google says it's open. No one's answering their phone when I call.

Dr. Faranak is very helpful and patience with my Mom to choose the right type of hearing aid for her needs and also helped her to apply for government assistance on the hearing aid. I personal have seen how Dr. Faranak work and would highly recommend if any one in need of help with hearing issues.

Best clinic

Very good service. I took my hard of hearing mother to this clinic and the staff was very respectful to her and I. She was super satisfied with the experience and we will be coming back regularly for follow up appointments.
