Aqua-Don Pool Service & Supplies

Had this company open our pool and was really unimpressed. We typically use Boldt Pools but they were too busy. First, the tech came into the backyard unannounced and then just grunted at us when spoken to. He then left with without saying anything or even leaving a note of what was done. Our pool was not cleaned at all and pump was not running so we called the store. They said that our pump was broken even though they were looking at our old pump. They sent the tech back a week later to “clean”. As you can see from the picture he did a very poor job and there is still a large amount of algae stuck to the bottom that we can’t get off. We caught him before he left and he said that’s the best he could do since our pool was “exceptionally dirty”. This surprised us since Boldt never had this issue. The pool then remained cloudy for the whole following week. So we call again and they say this is normal and will clear in a couple days. That was Monday and it is not much better. We even got the deluxe opening. Only reason I gave 2 stars was the nice staff on the phone.

Your service man came here alone on the 31st of may, he open the pool and then came back 5 days after to vacuum as he was leaving my husband ask him when he was coming back to finish the cleaning as the water was still very murky but he said his job was done the rest was ours to deal with.Now we paid 630$ for your services and the water is so bad that we can’t even open the solar panels, so my husband went to Boldt and also to MP Paradise they both tested the water, the result is that there is way too much Cyanuric acid, but funny at your store your employee said that she couldn’t test that water because nothing would show up….by the way thank god I didn’t soak my feet in that acid!This is completely unacceptable and a huge amount to pay on top of your bad service. I am including the report and photos of the disastrous job your service man accomplish and expect that you will compensate for all the expenses that are the result of that horrible experience we had with your company.Helene & Peter DumaisHERE IS MY RESPONSE TO YOUYour response is not accurate if you read back we did pay for the DeLuxe Package, your service man did not test the water before adding too much chlorine which resulted in causing the water to become high in cyanuric acid levels. Two other pool maintenance provider confirm that it was due to over chlorination. It has been very costly to drain the pool to diminish the levels of cyanuric acid which in fact may of been avoided. While i understand everyone makes mistakes we shouldn’t have to pay for the mistake that was made by your service man.It has been 12 days since he came and we still have to do backwash and in case you didn’t know water isn’t free!

I have been a customer for 25 years and never had a problem with Aqua Dons Pool Service !! I called them at 3 o'clock on Aug.25 regarding a new pool pump at 9:15 am on Aug. 26 it was installed and running. MIKE THE INSTALLER DID A PERFECT INSTALL!! **Note: Alectra Utilities is offering a $400.00 rebate if you get a high efficiency variable speed pool pump.

I have dealt with Aqua-Don Pools for years with all of my hot tub needs. Their service is top notch and prices are very reasonable. I'm always met with a smile from all of their friendly knowledgeable staff. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I have been a client for many years and even with the change of ownership the level of service and support has been outstanding. I am very fussy about maintaining the pool and hot tub so I am in just about every week to get the water tested and they are always so accommodating. I’m sure they must chuckle seeing me so often. Great job folks.

Great and Friendly Service !! I managed to get a small 14ft above ground pool for my kids this summer. I called Aqua Dons to see if they could help me out with supplies to maintain it. I showed up with a sample of the water and they managed to get me set up with everything I needed and explained/wrote everything down in detail.Everyone was super friendly and Informative.Thanks

the care i have received so far from this business has been absolutely stellar. they have been very detailed oriented and made sure that the job gets done to my satisfaction and that's very important to me, and thats without any additional prompting on my part. from the service techs to the office workers, they have helped me accomplish the goals i have set in a timely and kind matter

These guys know what they're doing. Always professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and they've never tried to upsell me. I've owned a pool for 15 years and have only been dealing with Aqua-Don Pools for 2 years (wish I started with them) They've earned a life time customer, my pool has never been cleaner or clearer.

We needed a new pool pump this year so I called the large well known pool company in North end St Catharines who I have used for almost a decade. Got a great deal on a Hayward pump, not much more than buying off Amazon but came with a warranty and was Canadian assembled. It wasn't a straight forward swap as I had hoped and I needed some advice and support to make the switch. After numerous phone calls, lost emails and time spent waiting in the parking lot to try and get the customer support I needed I lost my patience and went to Aqua-Don Pools down the street. Joel was so helpful in getting me hooked up with the parts I needed and the advice and support a DIYer needed to complete the job. He was often busy during business hours but made time to call me back, as late as 7.30pm on a Friday night, to make sure I had what I needed. The girls have had a ton of fun in the pool these last 2 scorching hot days and I couldn't have done it without Joel and Aqua-Don. Thank-you, you have won a new customer!
