JIU-JITSU Montreal - Gracie Barra

Been going since October, very welcoming team and qualified instructors. A lot of hours every day to accomodate for my variable schedule, and a comprehensive beginners program.

I so wanted to write a good review about that school. We registered my son 2 years ago (he was 4) everything was great. The GBK1 teacher was fantastic back then. My son loved it . He has a lot of energy and might not listen everytime the teacher speaks. 1h focusing completely is not an easy thing at that age but I guess he's not the only one. He was progressing really well and was showing great skills. But then a new teacher started to teach the class . And everything went down the hill from there. He's not the nicest person in earth. I'm really disappointed because I feel like he showed us the door and was happy about it. They hold my son's belt for 2 months (because apparently he wasn't listening) even though he was working hard to get it. And then when I complained about the new teacher's behaviour nobody answered. We just left and nobody has ever contacted us after that even though I wasn't the only parent complaining. We found a new place and are really happy about it but it's bitter sweet because I really loved GB before that weirdo starting to teach.

GB offers an amazing and structured curriculum that is very user friendly and that the coaches and professors teach beautifully. The learning process is smooth and super effective if dedication and discipline are invested from the students side. I mostly go to the morning classes and In a nutshell I must say the vibe is out of this world and we’re like a family, Professor Dave has a really good teahing method in place and is very caring.

Outstanding place to learn jiu-jítsu in a family and friendly environment. Lead by a former BJJ World champion, that’s a place to learn BJJ, keep healthy and improve life quality.

Glen is the nicest and best person you can learn jiu-jitsu from. Recommend ppl of all ages to go try out the spot.

This school has a friendly atmosphere, encouraging everyone to train and improve. No bullies, no hyper-competitive jerks intimidating anyone, just a mutually supportive group of people looking to get better every day.The teachers for the kids classes are especially good. They know how to work with kids of all ages and levels.

Best BJJ school ever! It's almost 3 years since I have been part of the Gracie Barra family and I really love it. The professors and coaches are amazing. The training partners are awesome. This place completely change my life and I am very grateful. Thank you so much!

What can I say!I started Jiu Jitsu 9 years ago and to this day best decisions I ever made! Plus with an amazing family atmosphere where students and coach are there to help one another, I truly feel this is the best place to learn!!!

This is the best place to learn and train in Montreal. Bruno and his team of instructors are top notch and create a healthy and positive learning environment. I also want to highlight the great kids program they are running. Both my son and daughter train at GB Montreal regularly. They absolutely love it.
