Cat Brown Birth Photography

It was wonderful to have Catherine take photos of me and my family. She was patient and made us all feel very comfortable. The photos are amazing and really capture our family in a relaxed way that doesn't look posed or forced.I would not hesitate to hire her again.

Catherine is fantastic! Her photography is beautifully earthy and her presence made me feel at ease - I usually freeze up in front of the camera lens! I'm so pleased with the final product, I have so many images and memories to cherish from my fresh 48 session. I will definitely hire Catherine again for some family photos (and maybe with the next baby!)

Catherine is truly gifted at what she does, it's hard to out into words! Our family has used her services twice, both being amazing. The first was for my mothers blessing. Catherine worked quietly in the background, hardly knowing she was even there. At the time I hadn't realized just how amazing the images were, until of course I saw them. Wow! She truly captured the emotion and feeling of that day without ever even having her presence known. It was so candid, beautiful and REAL.The second time was for our family photos. I have two small boys who of course, were not willing participants in staged photos. As stressed as this had me thinking oh I've spent so much money on a photographer how frustrating my kids are doing this

We have had the pleasure of welcoming Catherine to our home for a photography session on four occasions now. The sessions have always been so comfortable and full of joy! We wouldn't choose anyone else to capture our family's special moments. Catherine is a lovely person and a talented photographer. We are so thankful to have found her.

Catherine is amazing, her personality is uplifting, beautiful and inspiring. She brings a positive and calm energy into any room.I knew I wanted my last baby's birth to be extra special ( i had a midwife for 1st time and planned a home birth, i also wanted a mother blessing and I wanted to capture as much as possible). We 1st met for coffee and Jon and I knew we made the right decision!! we just all clicked and that was important to us!! we left that meeting feeling energized and recharged from her aura her energy!!Catherine hosted and captured my mother blessing ..so special! It was so nice and calm how she hosted the event! and I used many elements from this mother blessing during my labour.Even though Catherine wasn't hired as my doula we stayed connected and she was very supportive and answered many of my questions or concerns that I had.She then captured our 4th birth and 1st home birth the pictures are so beautiful!! she was a awesome addition to our support team, she brought a extra calmness to our space and I didn't feel any stress or anxiety behind her lens, honestly I didn't notice her camera! I wanted it to be special and she provided that!! she captured all those moments that I don't remember exactly, those moment of birth that I don't get to see, like birth itself, facial expressions of others and so on.. She also returned to captured our family photos a few weeks after including our 1st herbal bath !! My children were so comfortable with her. Her work is amazing and growing at every opportunity. Our family cant wait to have pictures taken again!!

Catherine, who I should mention is of no relation (same last name) was amazing to deal with. Our son typically does not stay in one place for more than a nano-second. She was able to capture many incredible, natural photos of our Clan just being who we are, in nature. I would go well beyond just recommending Catherine's service to anyone. Her gift has provided our family with images we will cherish, forever. Thanks again Catherine! .

I cannot recommend Cat Brown enough, I would give her 6 stars if possible! Cat took our maternity photos, birth photography, and newborn photos; she has captured our whole baby journey from bump to baby, and we will cherish the gorgeous photos she took forever! If you are pregnant and looking for birth support, Cat is also a doula, which made her presence photographing my birth journey so supportive and calming. She knew just what to say or where to apply counter pressure while I laboured. I can’t imagine my birth without Cat there, even in the OR for my c-section to capture baby’s belly birth! Thank you Cat for the priceless photos and support, you are amazing!

I met Catherine for the first time during my 5th pregnancy. I had never hired a birthing photographer before and wanted to make our last baby's birthing experience special. Upon meeting her I knew right away I wanted to hire her. She was warm and welcoming, very easy to talk to and I loved her knowledge of the whole birthing experience. She then told us she offered a doula service as well.During my labour and delivery Catherine came at around 2pm and bc it was a induction, things hadn't even gotten started yet. She then spent the next 13 hrs with us, as I laboured and delivered. She was so amazing! She captured my labour and delivery in the most beautiful way. These pictures I will hold on to and cherish for a life time.But not only did she do my L&D she then came back about a month later and captured the most beautiful life style photos of my new baby and our family. I have no regrets hiring Catherine. She is a very genuine person who cares not only about her work, but the people she works with. We've stayed in contact and I share updates with her regularly. I have also already spoken to her about doing another family photo shoot, my daughter's first birthday smash cake session and having her capture mine and my husband's 10 year wedding anniversary!If your looking for a talented, caring and all round great person to capture your most memorable moments, call Catherine! Catherine was our Doula and birth photographer and was absolutely amazing!! I cannot say enough about her support through my pregnancy and birth. Catherine's experience and encouragement helped me find the confidence in myself and my body to successfully VBAC my baby boy.It is obvious Catherine loves what she does. Her positive presence can completely change the room.I also highly recommend her birth photography. Her photos are full of emotion and take you right back to the incredible moment of meeting your little one.
