Wits End Retreat

Sandy and Heather have created a bit of Heaven between the ocean and the lively bustle of Vancouver Island. Their beautiful suite has wonderful views through its many large windows. A rain shower and claw foot tub in a massive (accessible) bathroom with heated tile floors are just off the main room. The suite has a cozy fireplace, comfortable seating and sleeping areas and in the morning, a knock on the door brings the most delicious breakfasts! You can walk these off with a walk on the beach just minutes away.Whits End hosts are warm and welcoming with a great deal of local knowledge.You will feel very much at home on your holiday.

Everything was great. The lush grounds are full of whimsical twists and turns, the room was spacious and sparkling clean and it's a 5-minute walk to the beach.There's only one room and the hosts are professional caterers, so we were totally spoiled with delicious two-course breakfasts (made for our preferences) and friendly hospitality from Heather, Sandy and their three enthusiastic golden retrievers.It's really worth a stay, especially since the price is comparable to (or lower than) hotels in the area.

There isn't too much I can add that hasn't already been said by the existing glowing reviews! My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and did not want to leave. Sandy and Heather are the most thoughtful hosts, and we truly hope to see them again soon.The grounds are immaculate and the surrounding area very serene. They have a spacious yard and beautiful garden. Inside, the rooms are well-maintained and very clean, not to mention spacious. I appreciated their large shower and rainfall showerhead which were a wonderful way to wash off the day before sliding into their cozy queen-size bed to nod off. Speaking of which, it's so quiet at night, we slept with the window wide open and didn't even remember it was open.The breakfasts made by Sandy (a Red Seal chef) were both delightful and delicious. The first morning, we had peach crepes and eggs benedict. The second, we had yogurt with fresh fruit and Dutch babies with warmed strawberries. The servings were a healthy portion and a great way to start the day.P.S. They have three adorable Golden Retrievers who will steal your heart with just a glance.

We stayed here in May for a couple nights after getting a recommendation. The location is amazing if you just want to walk down to witty lagoon and see a pretty amazing west coast beach. They also run a high end catering company so the breakfast is phenomenal. Super private they respect your space but they're also a lot of fun to chat to. We brought our new baby and area was separate and private, so that made us feel really comfortable. The yard/garden area they maintain is on another level and is a mini buchard gardens, so you can sit back and watch all the hummingbirds as you relax on your private patio. Room is nice and big and super clean. 10 out of 10. A great getaway for anyone.

This place looks unreal! So gorgeous. They have the cutest dogs. The clawfoot tub is divine. The food was fantastic. Heather and Sandy are the sweetest and I can't wait to go back and stay longer.

My fiance and I stayed here for our 12 year anniversary a couple weeks ago. This was one of our best getaways yet and our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. Our whole experience was positive and wonderful. The couple, Sandy and Heather are amazing hosts who are thoughtful in everything they do, and very accommodating. The room is beautiful and has everything you could need, there is even a mini fridge stocked with sodas and water and beautiful little cakes and a cheese plate with what I think are homemade crackers. There was a complimentary bottle of wine as well! The two course breakfast was amazing, and everything was homemade! Some of the best food I have ever had, from homemade bacon and bread, berries from their garden, farm fresh eggs and freshly made juice. Yum! The garden is absolutely beautiful, it's easy to spend hours wandering around looking at all of the flowers and ponds, or just sitting in the gazebo taking in the beauty. Imagine a place where you can count the hummingbirds and butterflies during the day and the stars at night on your own private balcony! We will definitely be back!!

What an amazing experience! I am so grateful for the beautiful stay at Wit's End. Heather and Sandy put so much attention into the little details from the beautiful cakes and snacks upon arrival, to the incredible two course breakfasts and the peace, beauty and tranquility of their property. The location is amazing, close to the beach and in the country but only a few minutes into town. And the bathtub, perfect! I loved it so much I'm already booked for another stay next time I'm in town for work! Thank you both!!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a small piece of paradise! Both Sandy and Heather were welcoming and amazing owners! The property is it's own little oasis that allows you to forget the world around you and enjoy the little things in life! Breakfast was amazing and they go above and beyond to make sire that your stay is perfect!

Heather and Sandy really put their heart into your experience . The food is amazing. The peace and quiet is so soothing….yet close to the city.
