Solid consistent option for middle eastern food in North York. Juicy beef kebabs and the chicken tikka was even better! Very high quality meat prepared fresh in front of you. The rice is just plain (not seasoned) which is okay, it's still fresh and goes well with the kebabs. Prices are average, not too high or low. $10-$15 for kebab dinners and $7-$10 for shawarmas. I recommend anyone looking for Afghani/Middle Eastern food to check out Mumtaz! Will definitely be back again

Flavour-packed food! I tried the Wazeri Kebab platter and a Chicken Pita Wrap and would highly recommend them. The rice was light and greatly complimented the amazing beef shami and chicken tikka kebabs. Presentation was a 5/5 the salad was fresh and the sauces were just right.

Just had lunch here, not the best I've had, but good in taste. Surprisingly, the buttery rice was the best part of the food. The portion is not much besides the rice.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. The food is so good and tasty. I have eaten falafel wraps/dinners at many places but none of those places tasted as good as here. The rice was flavourful and the falafels were made to perfection right in front of us. The chicken kabob dinner was great as well. The portions were big too. Another thing is that the extra sauces were just 30 cents whereas many others charge about a dollar for them. This has become my new favourite for middle eastern food.

I work next door and regularly come for lunch. The food is consistent and good, with fresh toppings. The staff are very friendly and food is made in a timely manner. My favourite is the beef shawarma wrap!

Had a chance to eat shawarma there and I must say it was fresh and very good in taste.So I tried their number 10 which is a beef shawarma that comes with rice or fries and salad.Rice was plain white and nicely cooked. Quantity was okay was just not enough for someone who eats like a wolf.Beef was very fresh, tasty, tender n juicy. Quantity was enough for the quantity of the rice I got.Salad was very fresh I must say. Since I wasn't able to complete my food in the restaurant there so I ate after I came back home after an hour and it was still very crunchy did not get soggy which I was expecting it might get.Price, it was a bit expensive as I paid over $15 for this portion of rice, beef, and salad. To me it should be around 10 to 12 dollars.Anyways food was fresh, service was absolute phenomenal however atmosphere was just OK.

I haven't been at this restaurant to dine in, but I ordered via SkipTheDishes twice already and the food was fresh and the hot sauce is amazing. Their kebabs are very tasty and worth every $. Keep up the fresh taste.

I bought a mixed shawarma with falafel balls. The tahini is amazing and the meat portion in my sandwich was on the slightly generous side of the spectrum and the price was reasonable but that is as far as it goes. The falafel balls and the flavour of my sandwich is mediocre to average at best. Definitely better places for similar cuisine out there. At the same time it’s not the worst. I would say this place is not for everyone but at least worth a try.
