I did not know where to eat with a buddy and ended going there because of the 5 star reviews on Google. It's a brand new place and the owner was extremely friendly and grateful for us. Their food was great and the restaurant is conveniently located from across the Jean-Talon marker if you want to make your whole day a healthy one.

Excellent Japanese Izakaya next to Marche Jean Talon. Sushi and sashimi were amazing. I also love their pork skewers and Chirashi. Great food, drinks and amazing service! Highly recommend!

This was my first visit, the food was great, a simple menu with fresh ingredients and reasonably priced! The service was warm, welcoming and prompt! They are newly opened therefore didn't have their liquor license yet (owner said they should receive it in a week from now) but I'm definitely looking forward to coming back soon and having a casual dinner and drinks there!

Amazing place!! First of all, the plating is beautiful! I believe the pictures will tell. Second, the dishes are simply DELICIOUS. The makis are flavor bombs of rich and layered taste. The garnishes really bring the flavor profile to another level. The Katsu poké is a delightful surprise too. More specifically, I never imagined chicken katsu could go so well with red pepper. Cannot wait to try more dishes from Edo!

Poor reviews from me are rare, but I really feel like a new restaurant needs honest reviews in order to get off their feet. My hope is that they improve the issues I mention below, in which case I will happily increase my rating. As it is, the fact that they hired people to provide unauthentic reviews to seed their Google rating during their first month of business ALMOST made me give 1 star, but I am really trying to keep an open and generous perspective.THE GOOD STUFF:The food was visually attractive and innovative.The scallops were fresh.The establishment was clean and tidy and offered comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.Our server was friendly.THE BAD STUFF:The fish was not fresh enough: Both the raw and the cooked fish tasted unpleasantly fishy. One of the guests at our table is pregnant, so she only ordered cooked fish, to be safe. However, she was pretty queasy on the walk home, so we're keeping an eye on her.The service was slow: We had a reservation for four people, and the food came out very staggered and slowly. The last person (me) did not receive their food until an hour and a half after we were seated. And it did not seem busy.The servers were not attentive. Our nice server gave a brief apology for the lateness of the final meal, but only right before he finally brought it out. Again, I had been waiting an hour and a half.Soy sauce... wasn't on the tables for us to serve ourselves as we needed. Instead, the servers delivered 2 small dishes of soy sauce - which weren't enough even for the two intended dishes.All our main dishes should have had been accompanied by soy sauce. They didn't offer more, and we had to ask for more each time, and in one case 3 different waitstaff needed to be asked before we actually received the soy sauce.Lastly, the bathroom ran out of toilet paper, and our pregnant guest needed to use the facilities. She informed the staff, and they didn't restock right away, so she was left waiting. We left and went to a bathroom at a grocer down the street.Sorry to leave such a negative review, but I am hoping Edo Izakaya sees it and takes it to heart. Good luck to the new restaurant! I truly wish you the best.PS: Also, you really should take down the false positive reviews, as that is very dishonest and the biggest disappointment.

Great japanese restaurant. The service was great and the food tasty. I ordered kaarage, at the first try one of the pieces was still cold in the middle, but it got replaced with a perfectly cooked new order. Price is ok and worth it.
