We have eaten here before usually without issue. However, the last two times we have dined here the service was terrible. We were seated and went 20 minutes without a server coming to take our order. Multiple servers walked past our booth without coming to ask us if anyone has taken care of us. Customers that came in after us were seated in our area and served before us. Eventually we had to flag down a server and she said she had no idea who our server was supposed to be. This has happened twice and it makes us hesitant to return.

They have amazing food but im not pleased with the service. I order a roast beef breakfast skillet with over easy eggs and I specifically tell them I want rye bread when i placed my order. I go pick my order up traveling from parkdale and pay 40 dollars plus 5 dollar tip. I get home and realize there is no rye bread so I make my way back to get my rye bread. Then I come back home with the rye bread and then I realize the eggs are well done and not over easy. This is the second time they messed up my order in a 2 week period. Like I said great food but some things you gotta leave in the past. And that's exactly what I'm doing with 50s diner. I'm never ordering from them again. Biggest waste of money I've spent in 2023. Unreal!

How could I not have reviewed this before?! I eat here alot! In fact I moved away and now travel 45 minutes to eat here. Food is always fantastic, and the dining room is always clean. I enjoy the old time shows played too, especially the three stooges. I come here for the steak, fries and gravy. And also the reuban sandwich. So delicious. The reuban is just like the ones I would get in new york city. Just SO good.

Eaten here several times. Always good. Retro-feel with wall-decorations, 50s/60s music and Looney Tunes cartoons always playing (waaaaay better than the news! I hate when that's on in restaurants). Burger was good, fries were great. Smoked meat sandwich was good except for all the black pepper, and onion rings were a bit overdone. Coffee was fresh & hot. Service good, and of course, will be back.

Friendly, attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. I always love the vibe here. The staff is top notch and the food is delicious! My favourite spot for breakfast.

Been looking for a diner style lunch spot near work and found this gem. Great all day breakfast and a full lunch menu to please all. Friendly welcoming staff serving well prepared food in a clean roomy atmosphere. Coffee refills and tea served in a pot was a nice touch. This time we tried 2 of the skillet breakfasts for lunch...pretty awesome. Come hungry.

Nice local restaurant for brunch. Bring your hunger because the portion size did not disappoint. We found this place online and glad we did. Service was friendly and quick. Food was hot and delicious. Just hoping the decor had more fifties theme which is what we thought it was in the name.

We had a large family group in for brunch. Our server was spectacular, and handled all our orders with grace. She got almost everything right, and when there was an error, she fixed it immediately. The food was excellent and served in a timely manner.
