The Captain's Boil
Had a great time with the family at The Captain’s Boil during the holiday season. They were great in accommodating our party of 12 and the staff was very attentive throughout the night. The food was great and the selection was plentiful - only regret was not trying more variety for the sauces. We ordered the Captain’s feast and it was enough for 8 adults and 3 kids. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I was expecting more of the boil experience I had in Seattle where the food was mixed and dumped on the table vs marinating in a plastic bag. Will definitely return as the food was fresh and sides were filling!

I love this place & wish it was closer to me. It's fun to bring kids! The food is decently priced & tasty. Skip on the corn.. $4 for HALF of a soggy corn on the cob is outrageous.

Very clean place, right by superstore on 137 Ave and 127 st. If you're craving seafood this is the place to go!..As far as pricing, it can be pretty expensive as it is seafood and it varies upon market. For a group of 3 usually ckst you between $80-100 easy.Just be ready to get your hands dirty! Finger licking good. The only downside is that, for the Prep the restaurant does just for the amount and price you feel that it could be a little cheaper.. most of the items come in sous vide bags.TLDR; Although the selection is limited, you can still have a good meal. Can't go wrong. Captains boil is still a delicious seafood restaurant but note that it is a little heavier on your wallet.

Every bite was gushing with garlic and butter. It felt like my taste buds were exploding! The wait for the meals wasn't very long. The waitresses were very pleasant. I really enjoyed my meal and experience here. The waitresses also made sure our cups were automatically refilled without asking.Thank you I will come back again sometime. ❤️P.s this location needs a baby changing table in the restrooms.

My son is was telling me about this new restaurant and how I should try it out. Well I wished we never went. It’s the old Taco Bell restaurant, it’s nice inside but small.I’ve been to many seafood places that put the food right on the table, their food came in a big pot unlike plastic bags. I ordered headless shrimp in butter and garlic sauce, it was awful. It was missing the garlic salt. My shrimp was not deveined. There was no real cutlery, just plastic and big gloves that don’t fit anyone’s hands. The waitress told me the rice would have a tiny amount of heat, it was so hot I couldn’t eat it. The corn and potatoes came to us plain. No salt just plain and boring as the same for the potatoes. My husband’s mussels were rubbery, he ordered them in lemon and pepper, it didn’t taste nothing like that spice. My alcoholic drink was good tasted like passion fruit juice, I did ask if she put alcohol in it, she said she did but it tasted like juice. Between the 2 of us it cost us $102. Not worth it. We won’t be going back. Save your money and go to a real seafood place. They don’t even give you wet wipes.

First time coming in. They checked for vaccination status. They were very attentive, telling us they would be with us in a few mins while we waited at the doors. The food itself was pretty ok. We bought the seafood platter B with a side of crawfish. You choose your meal, your two sides, spice flavouring and heat intensity. The staff were very good at their job, they explained how the menu works and even was nice enough to show us how to eat crawfish for our first time. The menu is on a QR code but there's also a chalkboard with current prices for the more expensive stuff. The food wasn't particularly warm, but I think for the purpose of eating by hand that's a good thing? You get a bib and gloves. Servers offer scissors for cutting the crawfish too.The rice was good. Well cooked. The yam fries did not feel greasy. The shrimp fingers as well were well cooked. The potatoes were soft enough to use a plastic spoon to eat. The broccoli was cooked well and didn't feel undercooked. The mussel dish was a little gritty. Might be do to the sauce consistency. The clams were also just ok. I think maybe these would be better steaming hot. The crawfish, being out first try.. They are definately not for everyone. However this type of dish is great for groups, as the time used to break them down is great for talking. The crawfish also came with 2 sides.Bathrooms were also quite clean. There were sanitizers at the front entrance as well.
