Easily some of the best Ramen on the island. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. When it comes to Ramen restaurants I love being able to see the cooks making my food, which this place you can.The Ramen it's self was very well made and very flavorful. I wish they had more flavour options but what they have is very good. Will be going back to try all the different flavours. The service was okay, seemed like they were on auto pilot, was not offered green tea which most places do, also never came back to refill water, we had to ask for refills. Serving 101

Overall positive experience but took a star off because my friends meal was forgotten but the customer service received was wonderful and food tasted amazing.I would highly recommend as my BBQ pork kimchi don was flavour full and tasty

To me, it’s best ramen place in town, the size of the portion is good, taste of ramen, broth and toppings are all delicious. The server was super friendly.

I only went here twice when I lived in Victoria. I had the beef don the first time and ramen the second time. Both were good. My friend has said that this was the best ramen he's ever had, so make of that what you will lolI wish I could have come here more often, but whenever I tried to stop by they were always closed by coincidence, unfortunately. Hopefully I'll get to eat here again, one day.

I came usually every week for a salt ramen, came again this week and was served soy instead of salt, gyoza tooks 20+ min and even came after the ramen. When I pointed out that the ramen soup is wrong they just took it back throwaway thr soy soup and pour salt in. Do u really think I cant see the soy color floating on my salt ramen or do u think the soy taste can just vanish? I understand that it can get busy during lunch hour but this is not what I can accept.

We used to go to Kuma regularly before COVID. We went there last weekend the first time after COVID craving for ramen. It was around 2pm and it was not busy inside. I have a 5 year old daughter and we were seated to a booth. My daughter was crawling on the booth chair to get to the inside of the booth and I was sitting down after my daughter. A server came with a booster seat. Before I was about to tell him thank you

It was good place to go. Noodle is ok. Just the owner is rude to his customers. If you read other ppl reviews, then won’t be surprised. He may leave reply why everyone like to leave one way opinion not communicate at store. No one likes to face person without respect and manner.Recently they refuse accepting credit card . It is ok if notice customers before ordering . I don’t think ppl will refuse to pay by debit card or cash. I understand business can save money on merchant fees. But no notice before ordering, and when try to make payment by credit, he is so rude to his customers. I cannot believe it is Japanese owner restaurant. If you don’t mind service you may go. Please prepare cash or debit card before going. Otherwise you may get bad experience. Good luck

I have been eating here for years and this was the worst experience. Miso soup and Gyoza were made by an older woman. The soup she gave me was only enough for half a bowl. The bottom of the dumplings were all mushy and tasted bitter.

“Would recommend. Pretty good portions and excellent taste for the price. Only a 20 minute walk from the UVic Campus. Made by the finest. Main dishes are the soups and rice bowls, both very tasty.”-Ton, BSc drop outBBQ Pork Miso Noodle Soup“Meat was savoy. Couples well with the bbq flavour. Bean sprouts add a nice touch and noodles are soft and chewy.”-GunelCorn Miso Noodle Soup“Very similar too the bbq soup but with extra vegetables like corn. Good for texture and tastes less salty.”-RowanChicken Egg Don“Sweet and savoury rice bowl. Flavours are incorporated nicely and is quite filling. Even cheaper than the ramen bowls but tastes amazing! Egg is mixed with the chicken and is placed on top of the rice. Generous portions.”-Everett

Good ramen. Bad service. Could use more staff to help with the tables and to do cleaning. We were sat at the entrance under the a/c and close to the entrance and when asked to be moved to a booth we were told no (rudely), even when there were three booths empty.
