THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ART PIECES. It is constructed mostly of aluminum, this art piece was a gift to the city. It depicts the structures that were formerly located on the waterfront wharf's for service, shelter or for fixing boats.Internal lights on a timer light up the inside at various times, making it feel like someone is inside the glow creates light in the crack by the front door and also in the window. This light, causes the sculpture, to be a light shed" which is the name."

I actually saw someone living in it. That's the rent situation right now in Vancouver.

A cabin sitting on columns above ground. It looks better at night than daylight.

This Sculpture by Liz Magie called the LightShed gives an impression of the wooden buildings that mark the industrial activity in the Vancouver Harbour area. It is half size but still impressive and nothing you can find around there anymore, it was a building from a century ago. It looks nice and is all silver painted.

It is more than a tiny house! Lightshed looks like it is build from cedar planks, but it is actually created from cast aluminum. Take a detailed look… barnacles, mussels and seaweeds can be found. At night, the shed lights up in the Coal Harbour.

It caused us to stop, look and ask the question, which is what good art does.
