Stranton Lodge
On the edge of Knockan Park is this wonderful example of of 1930s Arts and Crafts architecture. Stranton Lodge is a private home but (some of) the land was donated to Saanich to preserve it within the Knockan Hill Park.It is a private home so please be respectful as you walk past on the trail into the park. But enjoy the English Lodge feel of the house and garden. It was architected by Hubert Savage and the first owners were Thomas and Maude Hall. You can begin to get a feel for what the area was like with the Community Hall still standing nearby and the Anglican Church.Pause a moment and think of the changes in this area over time.

Stranton Lodge
Interesting. I wish it could be restored completely.
