I would rate them half a star if I could. Have been off work for almost 3 months after a severe nervous break down and have yet to receive a single penny from them. If your employer uses them, show them these reviews and get them to change insurance companies. If they won’t, find a new employer. Period.

Horrible customer service and website sucks, not user friendly at all. Called multiple times about a benefit that didn't get paid and about my benefits not getting covered and I kept getting answers like we'll look into and call you back" or "I'll escalate it to thee claims team to review" but never heard back. Have to call repeatedly to chase them for answers.Website is also hard to navigate with incomplete info. A drug claim was paid one time but after I submitted another claim on the same drug

This is the worst employee insurance benifits company ever. Did not cover treatment. Was discriminated against and they accused my dentist of fraudulent behavior. Do not use this insurance company, there are many better providers out there.

They are monsters. Taking people’s money and not providing any benefits.Edit: No one from their team has contacted me yet. These people just want your money and provide no services in return. I am providing feedback to my employer about how terrible this insurance company is. Hopefully if enough people do the same, they'll drop them as our group benefit provider.

Not the best insurance place. The man that I spoke to was condescending and not understanding. Empire life needs to train their employees better. Also, many places don't directly bill to Empire life since it's not a big company. Better insurance place would definitely be Sunlife.
