Classico Landscape Design

I have a very challenging 1,500 sq.feet terrace downtown, exposed to incredible winds and salt air. She chose the new plants carefully for the microclimate and finally I have a thriving garden. Most of all, she provided an exquisite design for the overall landscape, making it just like a very gifted interior designer would do for my house. She is extremely competent, excellent taste,, and she *listens* to what a client wants. Very diplomatic in explaining what a client really needs! She helped a lot finding a carpenter who would build the planters, benches and fence. And finally she came and did all the planting properly, something I always had trouble with.I truly recommend Serena, she is super well trained, not just an amateur, and the results speak for themselves. Also, she is not that expensive!

Serena of Classico Landscape Design redesigned our front garden, and we are absolutely delighted both with the process and the results! The space is very challenging: shady and dry in the summer and wet in the winter, with roots from the nearby city trees permeating the soil. Serena came up with a very original planting plan that not only takes into account the conditions of the site, but also integrates the garden with the house and the rest of the property. The results are stunning and unique. The design features two coral bark maples whose colour recalls the colour of our front door and of the brick path that cuts across the garden. The trees are underplanted with a variety of contrasting (in colour, shape, size) plants that are not only ideal for the site, but also are chosen to create movement, brighten what used to be a very drab space, and provide interest in all seasons. She incorporated some of the existing plants in the design, relocating them to spots were they could be better appreciated, and suggested moving two large urns that were under-utilized and have now become focal points. Serena was a pleasure to work with; besides designing the garden, she also gave us invaluable advice on how to maintain it and even helped us with the planting! Her passion, commitment, and dedication were evident throughout the process. She is an incredibly talented professional and we could not recommend her more highly.

Serena was great to work with! She redesigned our front yard which had been neglected for many years. She took into consideration that we live on a windy hill with a lot of partial shade and created and installed a beautiful front yard design that will be much easier to maintain. The new design and plantings greatly improve the curb appeal of our home, and the function and enjoyment of our front yard.
