River Terrace Park

My son love it so much, it keeps growing, looks like some new structures in building.

Topographically a large wide field slopes gradually from North to south. This drearly wide and mostly treeless expanse is only inspired by a low barrow like mound to the east side. A few small stunted blue spruces dot the landscape like lonely lost souls. On the bright side Soccer here insures the little ones don't get hurt, as taking falls on the soil is a boggy, bouncy, spongy affair. The only dim star of this lot is a large sand box with a playground on the north side of the park. A useless perpetually wet ditch marks the south border of this uninspiring eyesore tract of land.***2022...improvements, playground enlarged.Trees grew a few scant inches.Landscape remains semi lunar..

Great park for the kidsNice open field as well

Summertime allows for a large field to play soccer, frisbee etc. It has a basketball court and playgrounds for kids with lots of activities to play on. Wintertime gets a large hockey rink built by the city and I believe does have lights. There are no restrooms there however but there are benches with shading for people to sit and relax.

Park is clean, great variety of equipment for all ages, surrounded by a large field.Lots of fun for families.Also, a tented" area for shade so great for events!"

This is a city run park with a big play set for the kids and in the winter the city sets up and outdoor rink for the hockey kids
