Alouette Lake Boat Launch

Ramp and docks themselves are excellent. Crazy crowds on weekends so be prepared for novice launchers and impatient boaters. Dock length varies greatly depending on height of the water that is in the lake. Parking for trailers located up top a steep hill so be ready for a good walk up at the end of the day. New outhouse at the ramp is nice and clean. The parking lot for trailers is big and has plenty of room to enable you to back into spots (Which can be tricky with an unwieldy trailer going every which way but the way you want :). The lake is very busy on the weekends, but quiet during the week. The wind can whip up quite a bit in the afternoon so be ready for a bit of a choppy ride back if you venture up to the end of the second lake. A good alternative is the Stave Lake ramp which is slightly better, but with less parking (and you don't need a day pass).

Crystal clear lake, with a bunch of pyrite in the rocks. Pretty cool. Haha.

Excellent location to get back in touch with nature's beauty.

Clean wonderful place to chill in the summertime sun.

A good spot to give the dog some water play time...no dogs allowed on the main beach or picnic area.

Visited on a weeknight evening. Quiet, not a lot of people. A few families BBQing or walking around the resident flock of geese and goslings. One fellow on the lake with a sea-doo/jet ski. Nice setting. Lots of available tables if you to do an evening picnic.

Really nice lake to get into Nature. Will return with a telephoto camera for wildlife photography. Water looks clean and the picnic area and washrooms were well maintained.

Stunning place to visit especially in the summer time. I especially enjoyed the fact that there's plenty of space to park and set up.

Located inside Golden Ears Park. Temporary parking for loading the boat is available, but not too many spaces. Mobile bathrooms are available and nearby. Pretty nice view to the lake and mountains. Picnic area is nearby by short walking distance (with huge parking lots available). Overall experience is nice and recommended.
