Vortex Montréal - Plateau - Escape Room & VR
This was our first VR experience at a public venue and we had a great time! We were greeted by Mael who was very accommodating, friendly and patient! (we're borderline seniors so tech is not second nature to us). We were at the St-Laurent location on a Tuesday evening at 9p so it was quiet but the place is set-up with a lounge, logic puzzles, and I think a small bar. They also offer a secure locker for your personal belongings - no extra charge. The atmosphere is dim, inviting, comfortable and has a bohemian kinda vibe with new-age'ish background music. We enjoyed it and would go again for sure.

Very fun and reasonable pricing.The sofa in the main lobby might need some fixing and the location makes it hard to find parking. But the games are very fun and creative. Would consider going again.

Dragon’s Prophecy was honestly a blast. I loved doing the escape room. The mechanism and the puzzles were really nice. Would recommend and definitely come back :)

To start off with, I must admit that I was quite clueless when I first booked. I never tried an escape room before. My wife and I booked the Dragon's Prophecy. The staff member there, whose name is Erwan, was very helpful throughout our whole experience. Explanations were clear and he offered us great tips and tricks for first timers. No complaints ! Great experience !

We spent a very good moment, quite challenging and a lot of fun. You do have to speed…. The whole team was very nice and our Game Master made it to an exciting experience.

Brilliant experience. I highly recommend this place!!We tried Le Crépuscule (nightfall) and solved it, this IS something! Room equipment, hospitality, and quality of the riddles (those were not the riddle that I've ever seen generally at any other escape rooms, they made me feel new).It's not an escape game" anymore

Great guy running the place. The VR game I did was a puzzle game and it was a lot of fun. Robo Recall and Chronos would be amazing to add to it. However, the latter one is an RPG game so you'd need more time.

Super fun experience with friends and highly recommended! Kevin was really nice to us and gets into character to set the scene and gives you the full experience. He did scare the living lights out of us when he had to come in and help us ( because we were really stuck) but it was funny when we realized he wasn’t there to kill us. We did the Nightfall room which was quite hard because it was a mix of mechanicals, ciphers and numbers, so I recommend asking for a room with lower difficulty if it’s your first time. Overall a 10/10 experience and will definitely be going back!
