A very interesting place with a history of old school back to 19 centuries. Unfortunately they close July and August but will be open soon for public visits every second Sunday of each month. It will be a great chance to learn about local heritage, culture and education facility.

What a great experience for the kids. I joined my daughter's grade 3 field trip to the schoolhouse and the teacher was absolutely wonderful, she was imaginative and fun and gave the children an understanding of what school was like in the 1850's while ensuring they knew it was a game and acting. It also was wonderful to see the kids using their imaginations as well to really embrace the experience.The only complaint I recieved from my daughter was it was a bit long, and wasn't enough fun time which they kinda expect on a field trip.Overall it was educational and fun.

When I was a child they made me kneel on uncooked peas as a punishment. I remember this 25 years later and still think it was unacceptable.

I absolutely love this place. I went here as a child and had a great experience. I also came back years later with students and they also had a good time. This school house is a perfect hands on learning experience for people of all ages.
