South Okanagan Animal Care Center

The ladies at the South Okanagan Animal Care Center were very understanding and accomodating with our dog. Although he started out curious and friendly, he has become anxious, nervous and agitated with vet experiences over his many visits over the last 4 years.They were very understanding of his and my stresses in this regard and managed to get him his checkup and vaccines dispite his unruliness.I am very grateful for their patience and perseverance:)In a previous visit, they were able to fit him in for an emergency visit, when our usual vet could not. This saved us a lot of stress, time and a trip to Kelowna. This vet did not prescribe a lot of expensive medications or treatments, which was also appreciated.I would highly recommend them for your pets vet needs.

Friendly staff and nice waiting room. Was very quick to get a sample from my girl. Sad they don’t treat bunnies would’ve loved to have the same vet but I’ll settle for 2!

Dr Katie Bennett is amazing.Both Loki and I think so. She is patient, kind and knowledgeable. Loki is always very excite to see her, which makes it super hard for Dr Katie to examine him but her patience wins him over eventually. Thank you Dr Katie and staff 10 stars for you all.

I brought my 6 month old female cat to get spayed and microchipped and her mama cat for a microchip and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the wait room was pristine, the whole time I was there I felt safe and comfortable and my cats are doing great. I was given crystal clear instructions for the after care. Amazing experience all around. And my little girl kitty looks great in her red shirt. Thank you everyone.

Great staff! Vet I saw was very thorough and treated my shy puppy 8 yrs old, with calm and a few treats to relax her. She really doesn’t like going to vet, but there so good with her! Highly recommend!!

My cat, Dexter, is approximately 19/20 years old, and was diagnosed with kidney disease 2 years ago. We were at the SOACC for a follow up visit. We saw Dr. Ree, who was kind, caring, and spent a lot of time explaining everything. Everyone working at the clinic was friendly and helpful. Even the bill was a pleasant surprise!! I would definitely recommend that clinic to everyone!!!

Really enjoyed this vet office. Clean and spacious. I think the rooms need more than one chair but it wasn't a long wait anyhow. The (first?) tech who weighed the pets and asked for more info seemed quite disinterested which was a bit off putting at first but the vet was very very kind and helpful.They don't try to convince you to get a bunch of stuff done that isn't needed just for the sake of making more money which is refreshing. Wasn't judgemental at all as well.Then the other tech (I assume they were a tech) who brought out the meds at the end was very friendly and helpful.Overall, a positive experience and we will be back!

They were very knowledgeable and very empathetic to our situation. We helped described our poor dogs situation and they could piece together the issues and deliver a valid prognosis.They were also open Saturday for the emergency appointment I had made only an hour prior.Clean facilities and respectful staff made the process as easy as one could hope. They even lit a candle for our sweet girl, Quinn.January 14th 2022. We love you, always.
