A genuine and warm community, living Orthodox Spirituality and charity through the daily life of the church. English language liturgical services, and a diverse multicultural community. Come and see!

St. Silouan the Athonite Orthodox Church
A very warm, family-friendly, ethnically mixed community. The services are beautiful, with excellent chanting from the choir. The pastoral care is tops, and the agape meal after the Sunday service is fantastic. This is a real gem in the English-speaking Eastern Orthodox church world.

Come and see for yourself! Everyone welcomed and helped according to their needs. If you want to give some time to help others, that is great too!

With all of the various options, innovations, permutations and denominations, it is becoming exceedingly difficult to ‘stumble’ across the truth and to find a Church that will quench your thirst for God and for deep meaning in a world and society that often leaves you without answers. To add to that, every different place you go, claims that they have the ‘truth.’ Something inside me(my conscience) told me that they did not have the truth as my thirst and quench for God was not being satisfied. This is why I quit Church altogether for a period of years. However, my conscience(a tremendously helpful gift of God) began to eat away at me and I knew I needed to find the Truth. I knew that living apart from Church was not healthy for my soul and not conducive to the rest of my gnawing conscience. It is by happy chance that I was lead to the Holy Orthodox Faith by a parishioner of this community; a God fearing and man loving soul who was looking outward instead of selfishly inward. This was done with genuine love and without self interest. In fact, no one ever asked me to join. After attending enough services, my conscience stopped eating away at me, my thirst for God was beginning to be quenched in a meaningful way for the first time in decades and I knew without a doubt that this was the unadulterated Truth I had been searching for all these years but couldn’t believe it had been right under my nose. Eventually, I begged to be received. I have nothing to offer the Holy Orthodox Church in comparison with what the Church offers me. I have this Parish to thank for my eventual conversion to Holy Orthodoxy. I live in another country but always visit this Parish whenever I am in town. This Parish may your change your life as much as it did mine. I know it can and hope that if you’re searching, you will consider checking this Parish out.
