We came here for years and never imagined we would run away from here like a bat out of hell. Our pet was prescribed a medication, that we later learned from a second opinion, was not the right thing to prescribe. It almost cost our pet his life and he spent 3 days in intensive care.We questioned why such side effects weren’t communicated to us when it was prescribed but ultimately we boiled it down to every “being” reacts differently to medication. What really broke our hearts was that when we called to get the referral for the specialist and told them what had happened - we were completely ghosted, even though they said they’d call back. The way this unfolded felt really slimy to us and made us a bit sad since we had been coming here since we had brought our pet home.Despite this, we had already been thinking of looking for a new vet as we felt the bed-side manners here were lacking and every time we come we feel very rushed. There’s also a sense of feeling or getting scolded with the way information is delivered here and it’s not our most preferred style of communication especially when it comes to health but others may not mind… but like most good owners we are always try to make the best decisions for our pet and love them like a member of our own family.We followed up with two new clinics regarding our pet’s ongoing issues and they were so empathic, kind and attentive - they asked about our pet’s personality, took note of it and off the bat started recommending things for our pet that would help make his visits easier, things we never got here and things that never really evolved even with the rapport we had built over the years. This situation is super disappointing and unfortunate and the whole thing left all of us feeling really traumatized.

Dr Dayed is a wonderful vet! We’ve been going here since Teddy was a puppy and always had a good experience. The front desk staff are lovely as well and you can tell they really care about the animals. Anytime He’s been sick they always call to check in on him.

I’m not one to take the time to leave reviews. But in the case of my experiences with Dr.Dayed & his team, it’s the absolute LEAST I can do. I’ve had many vets over the years and I’m unsure how any vet will ever compare to Dr.Dayed. Saying that he’s truly into his work for the love he has for animals and the compassion he has for people, is an absolute understatement. Integral, compassionate, intelligent and supportive are only a few words that can best describe him. If you live in the west end of Toronto (or even if you don’t it’s worth the drive) switch to him immediately. Stop searching for another vet in the GTA. You just found the best one.

Lovely staff, Dr Dayed is mid. Cheaper services in the city for this reason I assume. In my experience, he spoke through laughing when I expressed certain concerns and is an absolute mansplainer (I’m a young woman). Everything could be a massive surgery or cancer. Signs pointed to horses, he still guilted me into paying for excessive testing to rule out zebras. He is unable to make an educated decision on a simple problem (UTI in cat). I could go on, but the ladies are quite nice and I’ll still buy prescription food there.

Our dog had a nail surgery performed on the office floor. Neither the floor nor the paw was disinfected prior to the removal of part of her broken nail. She was not fully sedated as we heard her crying. Her nail got infected and 4 days later she was sedated again at another vet for a second surgery to fix the initial surgery. Because Dr. Dayed ripped part of my dogs nail from the nail bed, that part still hasn’t grown back. She has still not fully recovered from the initial surgery that led to the infection of her nail.Needless to say, we are no longer patients at this clinic.

I have so much appreciation for Dr. Dayed and his team! My dog had a severe leg injury in which another vet recommended amputation, after visiting Dr. Dayed, he was able to help treat my dogs leg on daily visits (including his busy days). It was through his dedication and recommendations we were able to save my dog’s leg and avoid amputation.You can really tell Dr Dayed is very passionate about helping animals. Forever grateful for the genuine care and kindness him and his team have shown me and my pup.Highly recommend!!

My baby Ragnarr had his surgery here. Very trustworthy and professional staff. We love our experience here. The doctor was experienced and very confident about what he was doing. I highly recommend this animal hospital. It's been a week from the surgery and everything has gone as planned. Thank you for your fantastic service.
