Ascension River District Hospital

Professional, caring, care. All this in a quaint, small facility. Well equipped and staffed, but lacked the Health Care Juggernaut feel. I felt that I was always in good hands, and around capable caring people. Outcome, was Outstanding! How could it be otherwise. Not happy with the midnight dr or the one male nurse, treated badly and my husband's heart Dr couldn't understand why they transported him to St John's on moross? My husband said no clue why, now the daytime Dr in the emergency room is AWESOME!!!!! Changed my rating, I appreciate the call from the hospital saying that they are going to handle this

I came in with either severe food poisoning or stomach virus on Saturday 5/27/23. The attending nurse was not welcoming. Rarely checked in on me and never went out of her way to give me comfort. I asked her 2x if I could have something for sulfur burps and she said that I can ask the Dr myself. Who didn't come for hours later. Very dismissive of my emotions and symptoms. I wouldn't go here if I was dying.

You be the judge!October 2022. Situation: Wife has cancer and is currently undergoing chemo. Her immune system is down. Took her to Ascension River District ER for cancer related problem. Very lax on mask wearing. Several of the ladies in the registration room had masks pulled down under chin. I wouldn't be doing a review like this if it was anywhere but an emergency room at a hospital. In my opinion, very unprofessional and very dangerous. I'm going to assume that this hospital doesn't follow mask wearing protocols. Why? Because these employees didn't just start ignoring procedure.As for our visit, I won't explain what took place just to say I'd not recommend this hospital for ER services.

Everyone was nice, was on time, and helped me get my enterstem turned off correctly.Made sure I had everything I needed and kept me and my husband updated.

I've been going to this hospital for minor testing and minor emergency's for years but when I took my mother to emergency department at 10:00 pm one night a couple months ago it was bad service. They couldn't take care of my mother in an efficient time frame, they were too busy, 1 doctor 8-10 cubicles. We had them take her IV out and we drove to Detroit.

I had a recent out-patient procedure here & could not have had a better experience! The nurses were all so kind & caring, every single one. The doctors were very nice too. From pre-registration to questions & concerns I had prior to my procedure, everyone I spoke to could not have been more helpful!

I went to River District for my colonoscopy. Everyone was both friendly & efficient. My procedure was at scheduled for 9:15 am by 10 am we were on our way home.

Nurses at River district, Shelly, Mary,Jackie, Tracy We’re wonderful., I had great care there., they all deserve 5 stars.

Bring someone into er non life threatening to get told to stay in waiting room for hour saying they're running tests. My love one needed comfort. I was told to pick up phone and ask to go back the lady on the phone said she would check i watched her through the door at desk and not move leaving me on the phone waiting. Never in my life have I ever had a nurse scream down a hallway calling her a drug seeker. Never in my life have I had a doctor stand up to fight me because I was asking questions. What a complete trash hospital.
