Shoppers Drug Mart

I like Shoppers but my most recent experience was very disappointing. My son has mild fever and sore throat yesterday, and we ran out of Tylenol. So, I went to Shoppers. I know there has been a shortage of Children's pain/fever medication, so I wasn't surprised to see there was no Tylenol pills left. My only option was Advil Jr. (40 tablets), so I bought it for $19.99, although I thought it was too expensive. And today, while shopping at Food Basics, I saw the exact same product selling for $12.99. I understand some price difference between stores, but I don't think this is reasonable at all.

Used to love coming to this shoppers, very friendly staff and helpful customer service in the beauty section. I have been a very regular customer for almost 4 years now because I live in the area. Recently though, as I've been coming in with friends instead of my parents overtime I noticed different behavior toward me and those my age by store staff. Although we do nothing different, don't engage in shoplifting, or are disrespectful in any way we are followed around and kept a close eye on. It is obvious others in the store are not treated the same and I have felt singled out, vulnerable, uncomfortable, and even as though it is racially targeted at times. It has come to the point that I used to hold my products out clearly so I wouldn't be questioned and more recently we choose to go to a further shoppers location instead which is very unfair and takes double the time to get to. This behavior is rude, singling out teenagers and making us feel uncomfortable shopping. It's very clear when the customer service in the beauty section is closely watching and it is obvious what they are doing when they circle around us. It frustrates me and I have started to avoid this location for this reason.

Just moved to Kitchener and my prescrition settled at this shoppers drug mart. I was amazed by the efficiency of the Asian female pharmacist today. I could tell all the pharmacists were super busy and I did not expect to pick up my medicine only 3-5 mins after I dropped off the prescription. I feel very happy to live here with this kinda shoppes drug mart around.

They have everything you might need. The pharmacy staff is also amazing and for someone who literally has to go in for my prescription every single day, I gotta say they do a great job. Everyday when I walk up in line at the counter for the pharmacy, as soon as one of the staff sees me they immediately start getting my prescription ready before I even get to the front of the line! If you’re someone who doesn’t want to sit in a pharmacy for too long and you want the fastest service possible this is the right one for you. SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO MY FAVOURITE HEAD PHARMACIST DUKE he’s always been really fast and nice to me and everyone else I see him with.

Wish i could give a zero star. Went in to get my passport pictures, lady told me to wait in area and someone would be right there. After 25 minutes i finally left no apology or update on why. Just poor customer service. Went to shoppers on strausburgh road was in got pictuees and out in 5 mins

Pharmacist power tripping thinks she's a Dr. My kid needed a lotion. She's never seen my kid. Has no idea on the history of his problem and how long it's been going on. My Dr. prescribed something he thinks will work after having tried other more mild solutions that didn't do anything. I trust my Dr. it's a lotion, just dispense it. Don't try to change concentration because your googling says that medication is typically for 8 year old. Frustrating. Appreciate the effort but just dispense what my Dr. prescribed, make me sign a waver if it makes you less liable for red skin my kid may develop because the medication is actually strong enough to do something.

The worst pharmacists ever!!My son got prescribed an antibiotic from Grand River for Pneumonia and we had to get the medicine from pioneer shoppers. Dont know his name- the Asian guy(pharmacist), he didn't even mention it has to be refrigerated. In fact, he doesn't like to talk or explain how to take the dosage. I asked him one question a few months ago on a drug and he was not at all happy to talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!For 7 day course, I could only give my son the dose for 2 days. Just bcs the colour of the antibiotic turned yellow from white and he vomited, which put him into more sickness!!! The lady pharmacist asked us to bring the antibiotics back to check, and she confirmed that it had to be refrigerated and it has gone bad now.The guy who give the medicine didn't even mention it has to be refrigerated and he didn't bother to give any clear instructions. Will never go there again or recommend it to anyone.SHOPPERS- please hire someone qualified enough TO DEAL with the customers. Especially when it comes to medications.

Go see Nikki at this shoppers drug mart. I didn’t want to go thru a rigorous night time routine of cleaning my face then applying a ton of products. Nikki suggested a simple 3 step routine that targets all my needs. She didn’t push the expensive creams, she suggested products that would work for me. She listened to me and understood what I needed. She was absolutely wonderful to deal with. I will be coming back to ask her all my beauty care questions.

This newly renovated Shoppers Drug Mart was just recently relocated from its old location within Pioneer Park Plaza to a new building. There is now a Beauty Boutique carrying various high end brands such as Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Clarins, Clinique etc and a large selection of perfume and cologne. There is also a good selection of food and everyday items for a quick grab and go. Definitely worth checking out the new store as it is a huge upgrade from the old location!

I just want to applaud Nicki Bishop at the beauty counter. She is an excellent example of what good customer service is supposed to be at a Shoppers Drug Mart. Not only did she help me with an online order, but she also gave me a gift with a purchase via Clinique. She really listened to me and my complaints about Fairway Road and the less-than-stellar/ frustrating experience at the Strasburg Road location. Way to go! Thank you. She explained that beauty boutiques can return any beauty product at various locations if they carry the same brand. I was told at the Fairview location this was not an option, which is not true.I am willing to travel a little distance even though Fairway is the closest to me because of this experience.
