We have brought all 3 of our dogs to TCOTC and have always had an amazing experience. We really appreciate everyone who works there!

This is a review specifically for a behavior consult with Taylor. Taylor is AMAZING and I recommend them to anyone looking for personalized help with their pup. They are compassionate, sweet, and incredibly knowledgeable about dog emotions and behaviors. They're also knowledgeable about HUMAN emotions and behaviors, and I think they helped me manage my reactions and training anxieties even more than they helped my dog :) I've seen my dog build so much confidence based on advice and help that Taylor has given us. Highly recommend.

Wendy is a great conformation teacher! She helped me get my pup his UKC championship and an AKC major so far.

A place for training your dog and learning multiple activities to keep your dog healthy and happy. From puppy class for socializing to training for therapy, agility or fly ball this is the place to be.

I cannot recommend TCOTC enough. I’ve been bringing my companion dogs here for over 20 years to teach them (and me)! They use positive reinforcement and there are tons of classes and fun activities to choose from. The workers and club members all love both dogs AND humans which is so important.

I have been a member since the fall with my puppy. I was disappointed beyond belief last night after the first session of Beyond Basics. They passed out MUZZLES….This club uses muzzles as part of their curriculum. Um no thanks. Muzzles, shock collars, prongs, etc have no part in kind/loving dog training. See ya, bye.

I moved to Minneapolis a year ago and wanted to get my dog set up with training courses with the goal to participate in a fun agility class. We had previously attended a basic training course in iowa but attended another basic course at TCOTC followed by the next course up and then competition bedrock. You have to take competition bedrock in order to take agility which is understandable however this course is so limited it too us nearly 9 months to get in. Now I’m told the first level of agility is only offered on one night of the week for an entire year which will never work. I also felt like I was talked down to on multiple occasions during the classes. I really didn’t want to come back on multiple occasions but wanted to try agility and now that won’t be a possibility. I have no intention of showing my dog only wanted to have a fun activity for him. I felt as though every course was centered around going to shows and competitions. This isn’t the place for you if you are looking for a fun activity to keep your dog active.

I had a really good experience here- my dog is very reactive and I ended up in a class taught by someone who had a reactive dog himself. He let us repeat his basic class a few times, as my dog was older and not really able to participate in full sessions due to some arthritic issues. Years later, I'm still thankful of how much TCOTC helped us- she's still reactive- she's a guardian breed who had trauma before I adopted her, but our walks went from being unmanageable to actually really great because if the skills I learned. The only stressful part for me was arriving and leaving, as other dog owners just don't understand personal space unless they're directly told to give space, which is just the reality of having a reactive dog in any public space (no offense to other dog owners, but a lot of people who attend TCOTC are the don't worry

I went to an obedience trial here as a spectator. I also brought my non-competing dog along. I found that we were very welcomed by helpful people with experience. I thought the facility was well laid out for the activities. Participants were also very helpful and because of this, I now know what options are available for further education with my own dog. I'll definitely attend events here in the future.

It was my first time attending a puppy training class! The setup of the class and overall information is very helpful. I would say it is more for the handlers than the dogs. The class size was appropriate, about 8ish puppies total. I think I was personally more nervous than my dog to be honest. I’ve previously trained all of my dogs on my own without any professional help and there were new things that I’ve learn in the class for sure.
