Set In Stone Hardscaping

Reading through the reviews for Set in Stone, you come to think…Really? All 5 Stars? But seriously! He is just that good! Anthony came to quote the job shortly after we contacted him and the quote came in a couple of days later. He was true to his start date and worked tirelessly every day until the job was finished – through the heat and the wildfire smoke! Always so pleasant, with time to discuss any changes or new ideas I had. His work ethic is simply astounding and his high degree of professionalism unquestioned.And as for the work done, it was outstanding. He was unable to use an excavator due to space constraints instead using a pickaxe, shovel and wheelbarrow to dig out the compacted soil. All the care in preparation resulted in a beautiful walkway leading to a sunken patio area with not a paver unlevel or askew. The adjacent garden was given a lovely stack wall with cap retaining wall, beautifully done, especially considering the grade involved. The walkway pattern was perfectly executed and he added a graceful swoop at the start of the walkway that begs you to explore further.And the dog loved him, even went out to look for him for days after the job was finished. Dogs can always recognize one of the good guys!I would not hesitate to recommend Set in Stone, emphatically!

Our Strata consists of 8 buildings and 31 townhouses and has undergone a 5 month remediation project. “Set In Stone” was contracted to work on the partial rebuild of our entranceways for all townhouses under the directive of our Contract Management group, RDH.I am pleased with the professional manner in which Anthony of “Set In Stone” conducted himself while on site. I found him dependable and willing to adjust his work schedule to address changes in the scope of his contract.The most important deliverable however is quality of work and in my opinion that has been delivered. We also thank Anthony for the added value he provided to our volunteer Strata work group.

Anthony built a lovely paving brick patio extension that has transformed my mother's outdoor living space.The work was completed in one day, with great artistry, care and precision. Anthony is very personable and professional and takes great pride in his work. We would highly recommend Set in Stone to anyone with a hardscaping project.

Anthony and his assistant did a wonderful job on our driveway, excavating, levelling and installing pavers. They were always polite and kept us fully informed as the job progressed. We would definitely hire them again.

Anthony did a great job on our little project. We decided to rip out the grass in front of our house and replace with a garden bed and the last thing that needed to be done was to install some paver stones along the driveway edge to make it wider to ride our bikes and walk across with the car on the driveway. I contacted a bunch of companies and Anthony was the quickest to respond and visit to have a look at what needed to be done. He promptly provided a quote to complete the work and with a reasonable price we proceeded. He showed up the next day as promised on time and completed the work quickly and professionally. He even hauled away the old sod that we had ripped out!I would definitely recommend his services.
