Avanaa Chocolat

Avanaa chocolate is truly special. Their chocolate is among the best in the world, with incredible flavours, textures, and aromas. I love it all, but my recent favourites are two of their collaborations - one with a rum distillery and another with an amazing chilli pepper (it has the perfect amount of heat. I’m excited to try anything they make because i trust their artistry. It’s also important to me that all their cacao is ethically sourced and that they have worked hard to build relationships with cacao farmers - this is far from the norm for most chocolate makers. Their little shop in the Villeray neighborhood of Montréal is wonderful, or you can buy their bars online if you’re out of town. You need some Avanna in your life, trust me!

Really tasty chocolate with many options to choose from. The dark milk is really nice as well as all their single origins. Don’t miss out on the cacao tea or hot chocolate either!

Such a treat! We only stopped by to buy chocolate but got talked into a tasting.Ended up leaving with a bunch of different bars and one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten.

I ordered a selection of their delicious chocolate bars to try & I'm absolutely loving each one I've had to try so far. If you love dark chocolate, try some of their selection of dark chocolate bars to really taste the difference. I really like the different notes you taste from each cacao type.Also it's buying local!

Avanaa is some of the most exquisitely made and packaged chocolate which I have ever had. The company is woman owned and sources their cacao beans ethically. If you get a chance - pop into their shop in Villeray where they not only offer their beautiful chocolates but also an array of decadent baked goods. If I was asked to make a list of my top ten favourite businesses in Montréal- Avanaa would be on it. Their online shipping is great too, especially for gift giving.

Probably the most delicious chocolate I've ever had! The price reflects the quality and respect that goes into each bar. Like coffee, cocoa beans really shine when individual producers and regions are given priority over mixing everything together into the same bar. A real treat and worth every penny!
