Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

I was at 2 locations, Avenida shopping center and Hunterthorn Plaza, within couple of days and both places were consistently impressive.This was my first time buying SW paint in Calgary and the experience was great. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Provided a lot of information and helped to pick the right product for my project

Manager was completely unhelpful. She was not willing to provide any insight with how to customize a color slightly to achieve the color I required. I was previously at another location on 130Ave SE which was extremely helpful in offering a customization process and providing inexpensive samples of these to achieve to look I desired. However, now that I have the color I need, I really enjoy using this paint. It is really easy to work with and has good coverage. Using the SuperPaint.

Service was good. Paint we bought did not cover what it should have covered.

I came here after trying to find a bit more of a local paint store than having to run to one of the big box stores, and after seeing several positive reviews, I have to say that my first trip here was very pleasant and Kris who was working there on my first trip on Monday August 8th was very helpful and more than wiling to help me figure out what I needed. He even suggested some ways to save some money, although as I was painting several freshly renovated rooms in my basement, I found the Emerald line seemed to have good qualities to it, he said it was overkill but I could use it for the ceilings too if I wanted.Flash forward to today when I was about to paint the ceilings, although after noticing how much primer it took to finish things up yesterday, I was concerned I was going to run out of paint, so I went back, and Hetash was super helpful and very friendly. Got me set up with another bucket of Flat Emerald paint, some extra rollers and brushes that I needed to cut the corners, which I'm glad I bought, as the first coat used just a little under a full bucket of paint, although after 4 hours when I did the second coat, it only used 1/3rd of the second bucket, so that Kilz PVA Pimer I put down really soaked up the paint I was applying.I just want to send a huge thanks to the Sherwin Williams team at this location, and will most definitely recommend the store to anyone needing paint or paint supplies, as well as will happily come back again when it's time to paint other rooms of the house.I'm really looking forward to getting the walls painted next with the Matte Peppercorn and Zircon paints that I picked up, but the ceilings are looking great.

Called the SE 130 ave location and Spoke with Charmaine. I was aware they had 3 gallons of the Superdeck Semi-solid from 2 months ago. They did have the 3 still there. I live in the NW and wondered if they had a store close to me that carried it. Charmaine took the extra step, checked the system and called Huntertown for me. She asked to hold 2 gallons for me. Such great customer service! When I went into the Hunterhorn store, i met Hetash. Wow! Another associate with excellent customer service skills. He helped me with the paint and brushes. Even though I could not see his smile, I heard it in his voice - Awesome! Thank you Charmaine and Hetash for all your help!! Sherwin- Williams has much to teach many stores how customer service is to be done correctly. Love shopping for my paint here!

Very friendly over the counter service. Helpful in getting what I need to finish my project. The store was tidy , neat and clean . It was a quick in and out with everything I needed.

I have not been treated this well in so many years. I would recommend hands down.

The employee who helped was very good and very patient. I was looking for paint for a small project and he gave me some very useful information and advice.

A hidden gem - I saw this paint store while shopping at the SaveOn located on the other side of the parking lot. I was shopping for some paint for a fence project so it was perfect timing and it saved me a trip to a larger hardware store.The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The cost of paint was comparable or cheaper than other places. You won't find any cheap paint brushes here but you will find high high quality items that will last forever if taken care of. I have no doubt you will be pleasantly surprised shopping for your paint needs at this location.

Great service! Staff were very helpful in helping us select a colour to test out, and when we came back the next day to buy the bigger can, they remembered us and our colours! Happy with the final product, and we'll be repeat customers for the rest of our house painting needs!
