HMCS Bytown Wardroom

This is the private Bar area of the Naval Officers Mess for the Ottawa region. Historical building with lovely stately decor. The building contains memorabilia and photographs of her Majesty's Canadian Ships. Food services is nice and table service is provided during formal events.

Good place to hangout with fellow military officers. Gratis Growls is always good.

The whole place is great I go there each Thursday it's Vetrans and staff only. Great place great bar and meals and great staff

I graduated from the Royal Military College in 1965. Every two or three months, members of my class who live in eastern Ontario and primarily Ottawa, get together for lunch in the wardroom at HMCS Bytown. The broader purpose of HMCS Bytown is that it is the location in Ottawa where naval reservists take their training.The wardroom is where the naval officers gather for social purposes including drinking and dining. At HMCS Bytown, the wardroom is known as the Crowsnest, a term used on a seagoing ship to refer to a position high up the mast. The Crowsnest is very interesting to visit because of the numerous photographs, trophies, paintings portraying navy life.

Great staff. Great location for cheap drinks before heading into town.

I enjoy my free members lunch on Thursdays. Cool atmosphere. Lots of events to choose from.

Great atmospher, wonderfull people, miss the clam chowder soup

Nice place for a gathering, it's kind of small but we were able to be around 70 person there and had room to have fun!
