So worth the time to drop in to see what they have. Doug was so helpful; initially had another model in mind. Found us the perfect match for our needs. No pressure; just helpful. Steve did a fantastic job with a full PDI. Doug even came by house to drop something that we left behind when we picked up trailer. Would highly recommend Recreational Sales and Storage!!!

We looked all over Ontario (and in the US and outside Ontario) for months to find the right RV for us and this place was the best for pricing and Service. There was no BS with them and no down your throat sales people. It made the experience of buying our first RV the best. We recommend them to everyone! Doug always has everything I need. I started going to him about 2 years ago. I went on a Saturday to get sealant and discovered his prices were 8$ less a tube then where I was getting them, having bought 6 from elsewhere I never looked back. He's also very knowledgeable having done it for so long.

I honestly am in shock at the service I recieved today. I had talked to them about a camper once. Said I was interested. Called them back and said I found another one, same model/year at another store and that I would like to see both, get a quote for each, find out warranty options, check out the shape of both and that I’d be there at the end of the week. I told him specifically I wanted theirs but needed to check quality. Just to be sure. To be clear, I had never seen this unit.The salesman told me that it’s a waste of his time to set it up for me to make sure the fridge/stove/lights worked before I bought it, that there is no need to see the unit before I commit to buying it and if I wanted to do that, I should go shop elsewhere.I tried to say again that I am a serious buyer, I just didn’t want to get stuck with a unit that is broken, it’s a significant investment, and he said ‘then you go shop elsewhere’. Direct, frustrating, quote.I actually did my best to stay as positive as possible asking him to please let me see the unit so I could buy with an understanding of its condition and he said ‘I have other trailers to sell, you should shop elsewhere.’‘Have a good day’I am sure my little used hybrid trailer was a small fish for him. I am sure the monster RVs they sell are a bigger deal. But I certainly was made to feel it.

about 4 years ago i was with some friends when they purchased a used 5th wheel from doug i was really impressed with dougs straight forward approach no big sales pitch no bs the following year we puchased our first trailer last year our second would not dream of dealing anywhere else

When it came time to upgrade our existing trailer, Recreational Sales and its owner Doug Abbott were recommended to us as a good dealer to talk to. We were very happy with the fairness of the amount offered for our trade-in, as well as the competitive pricing on the new Rockwood Mini-Lite we purchased. At the time of our purchase, Doug worked with us to ensure that the model we selected met all of our needs and expectations. A number of months later, the true test of customer service came when we had an unexpected problem with our slide just 2 days before leaving on a month long trip across Canada. When contacted, Doug immediately made arrangements for us to bring our unit into the mechanical shop he works with. When we arrived at the shop, the owner and master mechanic Steve, went above and beyond to fix our problem. Steve sacrificed his personal time by working well into the evening so that we could get back on the road the next day. Throughout the entire repair Doug kept in close contact with Steve and took personal responsibility for ensuring that we were looked after. We can't thank Doug and Steve enough for all that they did to look after us. If you are looking for a trailer, you will not find a more honest and reputable dealer than Recreational Sales!

Bought 2017 Rockwood 2906ws in fall of 2017 and thought i loved it. Doug at Recreational Sales answered all of our questions but my floor went soft in 2019 and he wouldn't do anything for me. Got a call from Fred in Indiana and he suggested I cut the linoleum to see the floor better ( he thought it was water damage but the wood was clean and dry. Problem was there was no support where the 1/4 inch sheets of floor join. Brace was 5 inches from crack. When you step on either side of brace the floor pulled away from foam it was glued to and went up or down. ( design failed. )Fred suggested we take trailer to him in Indiana, give him $2000us or 2700cdn and they would put a new floor in it. It would cost me another 1 to 2 thousand to take trailer there and pick it up weeks later. I told him I was not interested.I feel the dealer here should be working with me for a fix. The dealer sold me the trailer.I will not buy another trailer there again unless they work with me for a solution.Doug sold business and left me to defend for myself.

We bought our first trailer here in 2011, Doug has always done his best for us, if at anytime we had a problem it was fixed right away. Since we have bought several more trailers and sent family and friends to him. No better place or person to deal with when buying a trailer. Thank you for no high pressure or BS Doug, will always see Doug before purchasing a trailer…
