The rolls are are really unique and delicious! They're different from other Japanese restaurants in the city and I think that sets them apart. The appetizer platter is good for two people to share if you're indecisive and would like to try a little of everything; it's 2-3 bites of a variety of 6 different appetizers on the menu. The truffle roll was amazing if you like the taste of truffles; flavorful enough without being overwhelming.Rising Sakura roll and Mango roll (feature) were both fantastic.Pressed spicy tuna was good but not as fantastic as I wanted it to be.The ambient noise was a bit loud but the booth was private and cozy.TLDR: Tasty and unique rolls and the appetizer platter was great for 2 people to share

One of the best places to get sushi in edmonton. Wow. Anything you try here is going to be amazing, and I love that some of the tables are semi-private with a small curtain area, it adds to a really fun and intimate dining experience.

Walked by here on a walk with my girlfriend, the interior was very beautiful so we decided to dine here. Now the dishes are a little more expensive so be willing to spend! Each dish is plated quite nicely, and the sashimi tasted fresh. The food was wonderful, but the carbonara udon was good but was not as great as I thought it would be. The portion is great, but the carbonara sauce had an okay taste but an odd texture, and looked like it had tiny little egg whites. But other than that, the rest of the meal was good!I will recommend to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine and has some money to spend, it has an amazing atmosphere and make sure to checkout the displays around the restaurant as well!

Friendly, prompt service that was able to accommodate us being in a hurry. We ordered the Dragon Roll, Shrimp Parade, and the Futomaki (pictured: the Futomaki Roll). it was all delicious but the Shrimp Parade was INCREDIBLE

Went to Damso on April 30th around 3:30pm. The place wasn't packed and the atmosphere had a chill vibe. We ordered the tofu tornado, Tamago yakitori, kuro black garlic and thr mushroom trio Alfredo.Tofu tornado: soft and juicy tofu inside and crispy texture outside. The Sriracha is a good add on as it's not too sweet and adds a unique flavor profile on top of the existing flavor. The Bonito flakes and green onion add styleTamago yakitori(2 for $6.00): looks glossy , strong egg taste, strong seaweed taste, soft but firm egg.Mushroom trio Alfredo($16.00): kinda dissappinted as there was a lack of mushroom umami. It was basically udon, thick cream, and pan fried mushroom, presentation was good.Kuro garlic($23.00): fake wasabi, nice presentation. The rice is soft and not mushy, the tempura was crunchy but not overpowering, you can't tell the garlic is there, the sashimi with the sauce umami is powerfulDefinitely would go again for the kuro garlic and the tamago yakitori!Tl;dr food was good, Alfredo could have been better.Feb 19,2023 updatwCrunch roll 17- sweet may osayce with crunchy tempura bitsand tobiko. Overall balance was good, a bit of sweet, spicy, and salty flavors.Pork katsu curry riceCute little bowl with some flavorful curry. Thr pork curry is so flavorful and delicious. Thr pork cutlet is savory and a little salty but the sauce is super rich and not overpoweing. Wish there was veggies like potafoe and carrotsTakoyakiA bit crunchy with a soft texture. The sweet and salty mayo plays with your pallets.Tamogo yakiSweet egg with a sweet sauce that warms up your mouth. Still savory and cut into bite size piecesCarbonara udon baconThr noodles were hot and creamy. The overall dish wasn't as creamy or rich as I thought. The flavors didn't stand out to me as it did with other places. The fatty bacon was a nice texture as it was a little salty and the fat added to its flavor.

Good service, delicious food! Only not 5 stars because I've had some top tier Japanese food to compare it to, but I 100% recommend it if you like Japanese food.
