It is a mirage to think that minorities have enforceable rights in Canada. Judges don't read the documents before sitting for the cases and have the nerve to disclose this in open court! 2 hours spent lunching and the judge puts pressure for the case not to continue even when you have not presented all your evidences and gives clear signs to the defense that they have nothing to worry about. You would think someone in authority on discrimination would know that discrimination is more then name calling.

Completely useless and widely incompetent. They practice victim blaming, miscontrue and misrepresent victims' accounts. Please record every single interaction you have with their staff in order to protect yourself. If you can, obtain written statements, keep trace of correspondences. They claim to be independent but their staff -at least everyone I dealt with- seem not to be aware of it.Protect yourself!*UPDATE* TBS (Treasury board) just found (March 2023) that the organization discriminated against its own employees. Not even surprised...What a joke. You can find various articles and TBS's decision by simply searching CHRC discriminating against its own employees.

The entrance is all in marble with two security guards present and a lot of cameras monitoring every move, at the ground level of a downtown Ottawa Ontario high rise building, but it is not written anywhere that the adress in Slater St., is of the Human rights commission. To my surprise, there is no way the security will allow me or any other person go upsatirs to get sny information about anything at all. Even when I explained myself frankly sbout the necessity to talk to someone about a frstrating issue that I have been facing for more than four years now, all I have got was a website and couple of eight hundred phone numbers that did't lead to anything helpful. It was like a dead end before even a beginning. Oh, Canada!....
