Dog Behaviourist Rory O'Neill

I found Rory on the internet when looking to help my pup. She is very knowledgeable and professional, yet very friendly. She is an expert with rescues as she is hands on in many countries helping all animals. She has years of experience and it shows when working with her Rory took my dog, Ruby in to help with her anxiety and fear. It will be a work in progress but I noticed a different in Ruby even after a week of being with her. Rory gives off great energy to animals and people. I am excited to continue learning from her so I can be a pack leader with my dogs.

We recently adopted a 5 year old Terrier cross through RMAR and Rory's behaviour and training techniques have been extremely successful after implementation at home. As a first time pet owner, I appreciate her expertise, the time she takes to explain and go through things with me, and her calm nature. Rory was extremely helpful with my 1 year old French Bulldog Frankie! He was showing signs of being aggressive and we wanted to stop this behaviour, I went online and found Rory and called right away, she was able to come to us and show me that I was giving all the wrong signals and signs. She worked with my family and I, explained what to do and what not to do. I was in complete shock that within one day of putting in some boundaries and more exercise we have a different dog.We had never taken him to the dog park or our other dog Tazz because our vet told us it was a bad idea. Rory said come on lets go!! I was so nervous to take our dogs because I was just so unsure and scared and was listening to the advise of our vet. Let me just tell you I was in complete shock with how they behaved at the park. Rory gave us some tips and guided us through a successful trip to the park, and we have not missed a park date yet!! I found Rory via google and having worried my dog had become reactive and aggressive I sought help straight away. I was very lucky to find Rory, I have always loved Cesar Milan and his way of handling dogs, turns out Rory is the same. I learnt my dog is not aggressive or reactive but just fearful in certain situations! Rory has looked after Naja twice now and each time she comes home a calmer more well balanced dog and we have learnt a few things to practice with her at home! I came to Rory out of desperation with my reactive/anxious dog.I felt I was doing what was right for my dog, and sought out many trainers that ultimately failed us in the end.Getting to meet with Rory, interact with her as a trainer, see how she handles my dog, and get actual supportive information left me feeling so much more confident as a dog owner.We will absolutely be using her again to board our dog and learn how to help him more.I highly recommend her if you are struggling and keep jumping to random trainers who aren’t helping at all.

We got our beautiful pup from Rory at Rocky Mountain Rescue Agency and it was such a great experience! Rory has been super communicative and helpful with training and leash tips. Rory is experienced, insightful and very caring for both dogs and owners. I have seen her be resourceful and intuitive with problem dogs. She never gives up! I have also noticed that she can offer observations that will help any animal lead a calmer and more satisfied life. Her work Is done with a mind to what the animal needs and it is based on decades of experience that she has working with animal behaviour. Her stories are amazing!

I met Rory for the first time to meet and talk about my newly rescued dog Winston, it was not until I met her did I really understand that I was giving my dog mixed signals. My “human” emotions were confusing the dog and allowing him to disrespect me and it now makes sense. I learnt so much from Rory during our consult and look forward to the rehabilitation stay date.

I had a great experience with Rory at Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue. She is outstanding with behavior analysis and animal rehabilitation. She has rehabilitated many dogs so that they can go on to lead happy and healthy lives. She also works with animals that are victims of natural disasters. We adopted our dog from Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue three years ago. He was abandoned in the middle of winter. He has had a successful rehabilitation due to the professional instructions we received from Rory. We are forever grateful to Rory for bringing us together with our dog.
