I only gave atmosphere 3/5 because the waitresses are really pretty but they wear extremely form fitting dresses that don't leave anything to the imagination. I am a male and the girls are beautiful buty teenage son acts very inappropriate when he was here. I had to lecture him on public behaviour. Aside from the waitresses, the food is really tasty and even the fries were crisp but soft on the inside. Overall a great restaurant.

I had the experience of eating here with my family that was less than pleasurable. Upon arrival there was little to no food left at the buffet. The customer service was lacking and by the time we sat down, got our drinks and the chance to stand up to get our food, there was little to no food left. I understand that it gets busy but when there is a buffet, the kitchen and management need to plan for the amount of people that are going to eat there. Truly dissatisfied with the whole dining experience here and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. This company has gone downhill.

First visit back after several years. Food was very good. Had excellent service from Cassidy—she was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable! Thanks to Cassidy, we’ll definitely be back.

I called and on a Saturday night and the ladies in the lounge were super friendly & were able to reserve a table. The service and food were awesome and I would definitely recommend to anyone. Our server, Marlise was great!

Today I had a reservation for Father’s Day brunch at 1:00 for five guests. I am absolutely devastated that this Father’s Day meal was so horrendous that also left my family in poor spirits for a day that was supposed to be a special event.We arrived for the brunch and were left waiting to order drinks, and as is such, got to the buffet table at 1:30. At the table, we were offered three different types of salad, all that had been out without being chilled and were warm and wilted. Not a great start but soon discovered that was the best part of the buffet. The only food remaining was salmon topped with bruschetta ( I am allergic to fish), which was not an opportunity for me. The next pan had over cooked turkey with a light gravy. They had run out of the small square potatoes that you can order at Denny’s, as well as bacon and sausage, and waffles, and the carved Roast Beef. In fact, the table rolled away as my family and I picked up our plates. When I saw a staff member come out of the kitchen I asked if another roast would be coming out and they said no. I went back to the front of the table for a bun or slice of bread, but that was not on the buffet table as and option. Neither were vegetables. So, I put wilted salad on my plate, a spoonful of overcooked shredded turkey and made my way to my table. The small amount of food on my plate was disgusting, and I was not able to eat it. When I asked to the manager I explained that I am type 1 diabetic, had taken my insulin and there was no food available. He apologized and said they had “Dropped the ball” and did not have enough food for the number of people they booked (the table next to us had a reservation for 1:45) and they were terribly sorry. I was offered 15-20% off my bill (I had not had a meal and my husband, who we were celebrating, left disappointed. He, too, was still hungry as was my 28 year old son. I can honestly say, Father’s Day was ruined. I am disappointed with how management handled this situation, as were the three other families who were waiting to talk to the manager after us, and can say, that today I wasted $220.00 in a restaurant that needs to take responsibility for their multiple shortcomings.Fiona Dempster

Professional staff, informative, polite, respectful and fun to interact with. The food presentation is better than shown on the menu pictures and of course tasty. Plus we won free tickets to playoff game 3 Oilers versus the Kings (2023). Not a bad string of good luck for just dropping in for a beer and a bite! PS Waitress Corel was our good luck charm and why we will eat at the Sawmill again! !

Great place for delicious food! Happy hour deals are awesome. You gotta try the Grilled cheese appetizer!! During hockey games, you can get a steak sandwich for $20.00.

Brunch Buffet is much smaller than it used to be, doesn't include coffee, coffee was extra charge and expensive. Servers seemed reluctant to bring glasses of water unless asked. Toilet out of order, as well as sink faucet in same small washroom. Really hope things pick up for restaurant industry since pandemic, as it's sad to realize some of the things we've lost.Having said that, food choices at breakfast buffet were very good, but servers should advise patrons that coffee is not included with buffet, is a few extra dollars per person.There are a lot of stairs around tables in buffet area, so patrons with mobility issues who need to walk with a cane while holding their plates should take care - be sure to mention mobility issues when making a reservation.

I had a nice Caprese salad with extra steak. They were nice to accommodate my desire to have more protein with my salad. The salad was excellent and the steak was cooked just the way I liked it, a miracle of sorts considering that they never asked how I wanted the steak cooked.The service was good. I do wish waiting staff stopped trying to connect in ways that are so artificial. It does the opposite. I could voice in my mind what the young lady was going round say before she said it. Before the first bite even, the question about how it is tasting comes, do I have any plans isnthe question asked when I am paying. Its supposed to affect personal interest for a bigger tip, perhaps. Sounds so phoney and contrived that it does the opposite.The place would not extend me a receipt for the meal because I paid cash, and I wanted to have the tip included in the expense--as it should be. But they refused to accommodate and acted as though this was an outlandish request. No ability to solve a simple problem. Not the sort of thing you reward with a tip.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere! First time I ever enjoyed lobster was here! It literally melted in my mouth!! Now I am a lobster fan. Haha. Tom was an incredible host! I am sure he is missed by all his staff. Tasker is such a great guy! He runs the place with a firm but reasonable hand from what I saw. Always smiling, even when you can see there is a LOT going on around him. Arlene is a sweetheart. She is so kind and thoughtful! They support live musicians, which is rare and fabulous! The atmosphere is super cozy and like a big cabin! Love this place!
