Nice staff and friendly service, has a cute little area to eat outside in good weather (otherwise just takeout), and some very tasty food.Such an extensive menu that I got choice paralysis haha. Great options and I left happily full. Would recommend!

This place is amazing! I only ordered from here on uber eats for the bogo deal but their banh mis are actually bomb and the fruit bubble tea is fresh and loaded with chewy boba! Everything also came in a secure and leak free delivery bag. 10/10. Try the fried chicken banh mi!

I tried a lot of their items and they were the best I've tried in town. Although this place serves a modern take on Vietnamese street food, the flavours are still authentic and not confused" like other fusion places I've tried. The decor also embraces their beautifully made food. Stepping into the store is like a merge between street food Vietnam and a modern Toronto cafe. Here are my recommendations:- Bánh tiêu (fried donut) with sweet pork sausage: creative and delicious!- OG bánh mì: can never go wrong with this one!- Pho Ever Banh mi: the onions went really well with the banh mi. The soup was aromatic and had that depth of flavour. The herbs were also very authentic!- fried Chicken Bao: oh my god the chicken was seasoned well and not dry even after reheating it the next day. The bao had the perfect hint of sweetness and was very fluffy!- Shrimp taco: for the price you're paying in this economy

Love their vermicelli and their vietnamese donut burger (lots of volume). However, I ordered an extra side of protein but they didn't include it despite charging for it. Without the extra protein, the meal is definitely not as satiating.their bao buns are good as a little snack!Edit in 2023:Added more photos of my burnt sausage from them.

The bahn mi has good flavour, but the bread tasted old. It’s stale and dry. If they switch the bread it’s an easy 10/10. A few people under the reviews shared the same sentiment. The pho is delicious, but on Uber they only have an 8 oz option, a little pricey for $6. Would definitely buy the full size if it was an option. The other menu items look tasty too.

Banh Haus is an amazing hidden gem just off of Dundas in Chinatown serving epic Vietnamese street eats with a twist. It's a takeout spot with a few signature low stools out front, a familiar sight for those who have visited Vietnam. Service was friendly. The space is clean but there's no accessible entrance. The banh tieu (Vietnamese donut) sandwich is a bit of a rarity here so I had to try it. You get your choice of a five-spice or lemongrass thick cut pork chop which is grilled to order. Paired with a homemade pâté, cucumbers, pickled carrots & daikon, cilantro, mayo and hot sauce (optional). The pork was cooked really well but wish it had more lemongrass flavour. I personally prefer a more punchy do Chua (pickled carrots & daikon) with stronger sweetness and sourness. The bottom of the banh tieu also got rather greasy. I otherwise really enjoyed this sandwich. The pâté was notably delicious, the portion is large and everything tasted fresh. The iced coffee was also great. It was appropriately strong and had a good condensed milk sweetness to balance out the strong coffee.

My first meal of 2022! We got the rice meal and Viet donut, both of which were excellent.I really like how for their mains, you can choose the protein. The grilled sausage and porkchop were both very tasty. The rice meal came with a soup side, which I enjoyed as well. It had a savoury, peppery flavour. The iced coffee is a must-get. The flavour is strong and was a great complement to the main dishes. They also sell their fish sauce separately in a jar (which I will definitely pick up the next time I go). The Viet donut is unique! I liked the bun they used. The sesame seeds added a nice texture.Overall, Banh Haus is a great addition to Chinatown. Although the rice plate is slightly pricier than other more traditional Viet restaurants, I think the price is worth it because of the quality of the food and how you can choose what proteins to add. Definitely will revisit to try the banh mi next time!

[visited 2023 April] I got Vietnamese coffee to go here. I loved the new/contemporary, clean look of this place. The employees are also nice. I took a star away because I felt that my coffee didn’t taste rich enough like usual Vietnamese coffees. I understand that they use an espresso machine instead, but I think what might have been missing was the amount of condense milk. It tastes like not a lot of condense milk was used, and in place of it sugar or syrup was used instead? I’d come back again to give them a try again though, hopefully I just had bad luck this time haha!

Cannot say enough about the flavour, portion size, and customer service. This place should be on everyones list when visiting Toronto. Ensure you have the thai milk tea, it is fantastic. Grilled chicken fresh rolls make are juicy and grilled to perfection. Excellent and professional staff.

The Vietnamese coffee wasn't even filled properly (see photo). Girlfriend ordered Thai iced tea and she didn't like it either. They added way too much milk. It was like 90% milk. She threw it out after a few sips.
