Disappointed deeply with this organization.Not helpful at all during difficult situations. After 4 phone calls (with promised returned calls) and emails I’m still being ignored. If you’re Struggling/homeless but middle class you aren’t a priority and I understand that now.

I’m extremely disappointed with the attitude of the staff, I’m a mental health worker and tried working with the welcome Center to do a pre intake and was met with horrible attitude from the worker who told me to call back in 10 minutes In which I called back in 15 and was told “You literally only called me 2 minutes ago”. Then I was told they’re too busy and to call back in 3 hours. They definitely need to act more professional and compassionate when dealing with anyone while working at a shelter. I understand that shelters are busy as I work for one too but we don’t need to be met with disrespectful attitude. Do better welcome Center.

I am sure the service is probably great, but if a family on dissability with a child with baby bonus, is not eligible for shelters (due to the fact we ''make too much'') yet rent takes 75% of our income, then who do you actually help? just the homeless, only once their on the street and theyre child is at risk of being taken, i think these services need to be reviewed cause making 2000$ a month is not too much when a 1 bedroom apartment is 1450$ a month...

This place changed my life. Yes I’ve seen a lot of messed up stuff here that I don’t wish upon anyone ( not staff ) but if it weren’t for this place I’d probably be dead. Thanks to the staff and all the great people I’ve met.

Ignorance they house people in hotels and will leave my daughter and I on the street because my daughter has a theapudic dog and I have a 17 yr old cat on her way out but they won't help us but if your pregnant they put u in a hotel and I'm only weeks away from housing that's pretty sad I'm glad pregnant people get that option but this is ridiculous they said your welcome when I said I guess I will have to be homeless !! Wow really great place throw a family on the street ! To the woman I just spoke to and hung up with I hope you end up in a situation like that one day pure ignorance !!!!!!it's really sad my daughter needs major sugergeries and I myself am not very well either full of arthritis and degenerative disc disease they had nothing to try to help us and my daughter's legs are not attached at her hips I'm so glad they have places like this that can't help thanks alot welcome center sad thing is you probably don't care ! It's very sad you can't help an almost 19 yrs old and 41 yr old when it's probably a week or two in July the second week ! Thank you very much for absolutely nothing your so not appreciated !!!!

I have been at the shelter for several weeks. I am extremely impressed by how professional and courteous each and every staff member is. A special thanks to Tammy for always wearing her beautiful smile... and to Jazz... these girls work so very hard for us. I am beyond thankful for the warm welcome... and the nun judgemental attitude every staff member has. Please keep up the wonderful work.Ama

A sisterhood your immediately welcoming med by staff and the women! You're immediately sisters the minute you join the sheltar! We all come together as one. We share each other's energy, cigarettes, food, and love for one another!

If I could give negative stars I would! Absolutely a HORRIBLE organisation! Kicking my 10 year old daughter and I into the street with nowhere to go because I have a job! Are you kidding me!?! I've been trying to find a home for my daughter and I for two months with no luck and because I work, I don't qualify to stay with the shelter! HORRIBLE!!!

This place helped me out incredibly. I know it was the staff at the time that was great. They rotate out their workers VERY fast so your experience is based off you, your case worker and how well you get along with roomates.I changed my entire life for the better because my case worker said if you want to live near your brother then mabye you should move there. I came to mississauga and was staying at a salvation army which was total hell in comparison. Ppl there said they have more freedom in prison...and it was so bad there I actually believed them. So it was a stark contrast that proved the welcome center is a great place that gave me hope and helped with solid advice.My life now is incredibly better. I have a great medical team backing me here and a great apartment, I just had to go about things differently And think outside the box in order to get a place.I have a great freindship with my very first roomate who has also flourished.I went back to thank my worker but she was alredy rotated out. So I guess thank you for changing my life!!!
