Mancini Leather Goods Inc

J'ai récemment acheté mon deuxième porte-monnaie Mancini. Le premier avait 7 ou 8 ans, et il était encore en excellent état seulement de couleur rouge, le cuir portait les marques du temps. C'est la première fois depuis environ 40 ans que je trouve un porte-monnaie de si bonne qualité avec un cuir qui ne se déchire pas, ni ne perd sa forme. Les prix sont très abordables pour un produit si durable. Mon nouveau porte-monnaie est noir et plus petit. Il durera peut-être 20 ans!! Je l'ai depuis près de 2 ans et il semble flambant neuf! Je suggère à Mancini de créer une ligne de sac à main pour femmes. En passant, le 1er portefeuille, je l'avais acheté à Toronto. J'étais super heureuse de trouver la compagnie basée à Montréal, à la suite de mon déménagement ici, et de trouver leurs excellents produits au Centre Rockland.

I received a Mancini briefcase for Christmas last year The look and style of this briefcase was very nice. I must admit, I’d rate this 4 stars. The quality of the leather (if it is) however is a different story and a little more questionable because after 6 months of use, a few seams at the bottom of the bag (3) ripped open. At this level I would rate the quality of workmanship 1 star. The briefcase was purchased in a small outlet on St-Hubert St in Montreal, where the owner of the store argued that it wasn’t a defect in the leather but rather poor handling of the bag on my part. By the way the bag was only being used for carrying documents along with a small laptop. Nonetheless, the owner said he would send it out to be fixed. I have no clue where it was sent but to my surprise the seams weren’t sewn back together but rather glued. I now wonder how long this is going to last. Overall look for the bag was nice but poorly assembled and quality of leather was rather questionable. Very disappointed in Mancini Leather and owner of Moura Cuir Inc store. I will never buy this brand again. The price of the bag $150 + taxes.

Do not purchase any leather goods from this company! I wish I had read the other reviews before I bought a $500 travel bag from them :( After 24 hours of light use, the case was badly scratched and due to the poor quality of leather they use, the blemishes were exaggerated and very noticeable (unlike scratches on good quality leather which are usually difficult to see). I contacted the company and they informed me scratches of this type were not covered by their warranty and instructed me to go buy various products at my expense. I then escalated my complaint to the Director of Operations and recommended that the company either repair the damage, allow me to return the bag or compensate me and I would repair it myself. He rejected all these options. A polite follow-up e-mail was never returned. The company Website states that they “take care of their customers” and that they “are committed to ensuring … complete satisfaction.” This is totally not true. Very unfortunate.

UPDATE: Was contacted by a representative for the company who worked with me to make it right. Its great to see a company that takes care of its customersBought a $400 bag from their company. Leather strap started to fail 11 months in and they refused to honor the warranty.
