Mephisto Shoes

Where has this place been the past 32 years when I needed decent shoes. I went to Mephisto in the summerhill area and I have to say I didnt think I would write a review about a shoe store but because I was so pleased with the service and my new shoes, and when I say shoes I ended up buying 3 pairs I thought it only fitting to put something nice up. Alexia the owner was so unbelievable,she was super friendly and fitted my shoes so well, making sure all problems where addressed as I have bad feet and I need something comfortable and stable as in my profession, I am on my feet all day. The cool thing is that the shoes are trendy not like most stores who provide shoes for comfort. Well done keep it up and see you very soon for my next pair.

Love my Mephistos! I bought a pair that looked like the Sperry's I had but in Orange and are WAY more comfortable than my Sperrys. I stand on my feet all day at work and had started to have to wear my sneakers because of back and feet issues but since getting my Mephistos I am so comfortable and they look super cute! The Sales Girl that helped me was crazy knowledgeable and super helpful. She knew exactly what I needed and what size would work for me and even called me a couple weeks later to see how the shoes were working! I've since sent my mother and sister to buy shoes and my mum got these sandals that she is living in and loving! She walks 2-3km everyday to the subway and wears these I can't believe it! Totally recommend this place they know what they are talking about and the shoes are fab!

I've been coming in here for eight-years. I've bought at least five pairs of shoes/boots in that time, but I also walk a lot (1,500km+ per year). I've also had pairs sent out for repair because they're footwear I've come to cherish. The store is owned by a Parisienne couple. They're very friendly and helpful. I think some of the customer experience reviews may negative because of they're French. They're very particular and that's one factor why I continue to visit the store. You get what you pay for.

If I could give a negative rating to this store, I would.When describing myself I have never started off by saying that I am asian. In this review I have to start with this fact.As my husband Geoff A. described below I was completely ignored at this store by the 2 sales people who worked there. I was in the store for quite some time trying on shoes and walking around the store. Everyone who came in who were white" was greeted and offered help if needed. I was born and lived in Toronto all my life and i have never experienced such blatant racism! Moreover when my husband shared his observation at how I was treated to the saleman

The sales person was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me decide on which shoes to purchase. I am very happy with my purchase and love my new shoes and boots.

The quality of the shoes and boots are amazing. There is a wide assortment of styles which you cannot find anywhere else as they carry the largest selection of MEPHISTO footwear in the city. The sales associate was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful steering me towards a pair of shoes and a pair of boots with the right footbed for my particular feet so that I would be comfortable with my purchase. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. It was such an easy pleasant experience, I will definitely be shopping at this store again.

Fantastic service and remarquable selection considering the pandemic. They know about shoes and they are really client oriented. Bought few years ago a pair of sandals (Mobils) and absolutely love them. I needed other types of shoes (walking shoes and for inside the house) and was suprised by their great selection. Also, they set the proper conditions to remain safe and respect the governemental guidelines.

The only reason I gave one star is because I couldn't find zero or negative stars. For a shop with shoes over $400, I expected to receive some service, but the two salespeople (two mature man and woman) barely left their seats! And when the woman finally did, she held one shoe in her hand, towering over me: no measuring, no fitting, nothing!!!! They somehow expected me to spend over $500 by looking at shoes and trying the odd one on the display. Needless to say, I left without buying even though Mephisto shoes have been my favourite for years. Very poor service and people skills.

I was very impressed by the selection. Mephisto shoes were recommended to me years ago by a foot specialist. I had severe foot pain, which went away once I starting wearing Mephisto shoes in the house. Although they did not have my size at the store, they arranged shipment for me from the Montreal warehouse. I was wearing the shoes within 26 hours of paying for them. The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for high quality shoes.

Expensive shoes that after four years of wearing them only indoors the soles cracked. It is the natural fitness sole. The company says that I got four years of wear and I should not expect more. The soles are not worn but cracked right through.
