One week after moving here 5 years ago, I saw this place and couldn't wait to go (I had a favorite, regular blues bar back home). Well, I finally went and wish my first time WAS 5 years ago!! Fabulous place!A few of us went to catch Iron Wheel playing (GREAT BAND-- look up their CD release). There was tonnes of music, drink, dancing, and laughing.We also ate there (yum!). My sister and nibblings ordered a few dishes of standard fare and rated the chicken quesadillas the best out of all the dishes they ordered. My partner got the fish and chips and said it was also good.I'm not one to order standard fare when there are culinary adventures to be had and ordered the palabok. A-MAZE-ING!! Rice noodles drown in shrimp gravy, with shrimp, crisp pork belly, smoked fish, boiled egg, and crips pork rind.The serving was massive and I barely put a dent in it, so passed it around the table. Some folks took a tentative bite of this unfamiliar dish, but after one bite, everyone was digging in-- THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!!" My only criticism of the dish is that I found it quite salty (nothing a pint of beer won't fix).I loved the 'roughness' of the decor

The bar is dark and seedy at best, ribs seemed ok, we had wings and Filipino noodles, salty & bland. The advertisement appears asif you are seeing Catherine Robertson comedy, not true, she hosts anamateur standup night, mediocre, a little disappointing.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. Drove an hour and a half to try it out and all I can say is that I will absolutely be back. Amazing food and incredible staff.

Great venue with great music, comedy and karaoke. The food is WAY better than you might expect looking at the place and highly recommended, and the service is great. A Halifax staple that everyone should visit when they're in town.

The place has an amazing vibe. When we went in there while we were passing by and man what a night we had. The band was playing, people just dancing away on the floor and even though we were just there for a single night we made a couple of great acquaintances. Must visit esp on Sundays or Wednesdays when the band is playing.!!
