Genie's Stitch

I brought in 3 pairs of jeans to be repaired. All had bad tears/holes around the thigh area. I asked around many other places but the price to fix was too high. I live in New West and Genie's Stitch popped up in a Google search. I'm so glad it did.My 3 jeans are repaired and the stitching looks really well done and looks very durable.The value for money was excellent. Much less expensive than other places I looked at.I would recommend you try this place.

Excellent service. I recently had three pairs of trousers repaired here, one of which was severely damaged, and all came back completely fixed. I was very happy with the price and the quality of the fix. I also have had items dry cleaned and was very happy with the results. I definitely would use their services again and would recommend to others.

I've had all my NW hemming done here and while not all of the staff are exactly charming, the work is good. I wish this centre's hours were better as it's hard on the working folk, and another location would be great - Columbia is desperate for a tailor. Nevertheless, while I live here I have no problem putting my pants on for Genie Stitch.

I brought in a pair of pants to have a seam repaired, the lady said it will be $27.00, I said wow the pants only cot $35, anyways I got them to repair the pants. I got home checked out what they did to the pants and all they did was a heat on patch that wasn't evenly heated on to the pant fabric. the patch also began to peel off when I was putting the pants on.Extremley lowsy job on their part , so needless to say I will NOT be going back to that place again and I will tell everyone I know on my facebook page

Had a few panels of drapes shortened. Completely uneven and horrible work. I can't sew a stitch and could have done a better job. It's a straight line!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!I brought my blazer for dry cleaning and they ended up ruining the fabric (there was white lining on the inside) and it straight up was returned to me with red splotches.I went back to discuss how poorly cleaned the blazer was (as they didn’t even managed to clean it properly, it was clearly still dirty on the neck and elbow area). Since the product was one of a kind, I asked to get reimbursed and they denied, as they would only agree to fix the blazer themselves. How would you trust your item, AGAIN, to someone who just ruined it? That trust is gone. My blazer was a precious (and very expensive) gift from a beloved being, I brought it to the place as they are “the professionals” who know how to clean it and instead, I’m one blazer short and now I have to invest a lot of money into a new one.Complete disregard over my feelings and how much they messed up. Never did I hear a “we are sorry for this, let us make it up to you”. They just ignored the problem and after a month of fighting, I just gave up. I wish I never went in. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

I honestly was skeptical about this place and brought in a couple of expensive dress pants to get altered and didn’t have any other places to go since I did it last minute. Though I was quite impressed with the work, everything was tailored and hemmed to what I asked, no issues. Would I go back? Probably not she was charging $32 for bringing in the waist and $15 just to get it hemmed WAY overpriced for a mediocre place. Customer service was also debatable. I recommend going else where check out Wizard of Needles that is about 5-10 mins away from this place, much better pricing and work!

I have been here twice now with my wife. Both times I needed dress pants hemmed literally an hour before closing time. The first experience was great and the second experience even better! My wife was just amazed with the amount of patience these women had with us...as we are very picky and particular. We would recommend this place to anyone who is in a bind and requires excellent customer service. Yes they charged us $2 more to have it within the hour- but well worth the wait :)
