Linen Chest

I am fan of linen chest because of its luxury and great stuffs. This store is small and not organized very well. Normally, it is less chance to find your favorite articles here. this store is my last choice to visit among all other branches.

Hello. I like Linen Chest. The commis are very helpful and deserve a raise, especially the emo russian girl and the indian guy who hangs by the coffee machines. The staff are really nice and know when their customer's orders are available for pickup at the store. The porcelain bowls are always straight. My only critique is that some of the workers don't know how to direct customers to the soup spoons in English. I do not know why she has not been inspected by the Office de la Langue Anglaise.

I ordered on line thinking it would be faster to pick up.I waited about 20mins when I could have just picked up the item from the metal bin next to the cash and paid it would have taken 2 mins.It is not a time saving move to order on line and pick up!

I am only one person who holds zero stock in your company but I can guarantee that I am never going suggest anything from your company to any of my friends or family.I am seriously not happy with the copy/paste response and hope someone somewhere reads this review and realizes this is not ok.After nearly 30 days – of course very near the return policy deadline… - we received a VERY disappointing answer from your customer service regarding our request for a refund/return.The original request is below your very disappointing answer.I understand that I am simply one person, but I can assure you that neither I – or anyone in my family or friends circle – will ever buy from your company again. I am truly disappointed,« When we received your email we proceeded to contact the store about your return. In the store, they denied the return, they were following the return policy for this item. The mattress topper return policy was not expired however our policy does state that items must be unwashed and in unused condition. We apologize we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.”Original request (date Monday, October 25th – after trying to return the item at the Lasalle store)On Wednesday, October 20th, we purchased a mattress topper from the Linen Chest location in Carrefour Angrignon in LaSalle, QC.The mattress topper is a king size Microfibre Poybed.It was on sale for 209.95$ and with taxes came up to 241.39$.Note: this mattress topper had previously been returned and was no longer in it`s original packaging – it was in a Linen Chest box with the tag taped to the front.When we purchased the mattress, we specifically asked if the mattress topper was returnable and were assured that it was.We took the mattress home, opened the box, placed it on our bed, put a clean sheet over it.We then sat on it, and realised just how “puffy” it was, and it was simply not a good fit for our situation.We repackaged it that evening (put it back in the box). We had it out approximately 20 minutes.However, when we brought the topper back to the store on Sunday, October 24th, the staff – cashier and floor manager – refused to accept the return and give us a refund, stating that we had tried the item and that it was non-returnable.Now, here this is an issue.When we originally purchased the item, not once was it mentioned that we could not “try” the item – We didn`t sleep on it. It was out of the box for about 20 minutes. We put a sheet on it, sat on it and decided not for us.We were never offered to “try” the topper at the store. We did not know this was an option (had we known, we would have tried it out and not have to carry this huge box back and forth…)The website and bill both state that items are refundable within 30 days of purchase – we bought this last Wednesday.There was never any mention – online or at purchase – that this item would not be refundable.

Good prices and friendly staff, but trying to find the items you want to buy is impossible. They have demos out on display and you have to go searching through their stock which is not organized. I had to ask for help twice because I couldn't find what I needed.

Good quality items, personel always attentive to your needs.

Price wise, this place falls a bit flat, compared to today's mega chains. They make up for that with quality in many cases, but that's getting to be a harder and harder point to carry. For bedding and draperies they are still the benchmark, and when those products are on sale, they're honestly tough to beat in that regard. Honestly, they should probably be among the first places to look for the products I mentioned, or high end small appliances and cookware, but maybe not the first place to purchase these things. Hopefully you understand what I mean.

Though I love Linen Chest products, their online pick up service needs to be improved. Came twice for my order at this location, but wasn’t able to pick up because of a system failure.I went there after the confirmation email saying ready to pick up. The guy asked me to come by another time with a straight face!!The fact that they don’t want to mail to me either made me further angry, while considering that I live in a country side and needs at least 45 minutes drive. A total waste of my time.Well, I’m going to pick up today after making sure my item is there. If there is a problem still, I wouldn’t mind calling the consumer court. Such a shame for store like LINEN CHEST!!!

4 people at the cash but nobody to help you. My wife and I went in today with a list of things we needed to get. There were 4 disinterested staff members at the cash who were apparently “not sales people” and had little interest in helping us find a sales person. When we did find a sales person the experience was transient at best as that person would hang around long enough to answer a basic question then disappear. Beyond that the selection was surprisingly limited. We got 1 item out of a list of 8 and left.

Hi, my friends and I went into the store looking furniture for my room and as soon as we came in we were told to leave. We did not even have time to look for anything. We respectfully told her we were looking for furniture and she said she did not care with a lot of attitude and told us to leave the store. We didn’t even do anything wrong and we were very polite. We had to leave the store because this employee was completely disrespectful to us.
